top 5 one-off companions (in a single episode, like canton or astrid)

1. cass from under the lake/before the flood!! absolute favorite one off character, love that we got to have a sign user and the way she put the doctor in his place

2. rita from the god complex. she was so interesting and it’s painful knowing she really would’ve traveled with the doctor had she got out of there

3. christina from planet of the dead. i love that she’s like slightly villain coded, that creates such a fun dynamic with the doctor. he doesn’t let her travel with him for that very reason but that would’ve been soo interesting to see esp going into his time lord victorious arc

4. does rory’s dad count? i know he’s in two episodes but hey so is cass technically. always love the family dynamics with the doctor and he’s especially funny!

5. that angry scottish girl from the eaters of light. i do think the doctor condescends to her way too much, though
