“Y-You don’t have to act so formal with me! ”

Junko blinked a bit at Komaeda as he quickly bowed, a hand moving up to settle on her chest, before shaking her head quickly back and forth

“ I don’t mind being friends with you, you know! ”

The boy pushed aside slim locks of hair away from his face, noticing Junko’s smile and sunny attitude. His expression softened-she wasn’t actually as intimidating as he thought her out to be.

“Yeah, I’ve heard…I’m Nagito Komaeda…um, I’m one year above you, but I’ve never really thought much of the upper/underclassmen system…” Nagito waivered a bit, before bowing to the blonde. “Please don’t let that get in the way of our relationship.”

Realizing the implications of the words he uttered just now, he jumped and bowed again, his actions almost instantaneous.

“I’m sorry! I mean, if you don’t want to be in likeness with filth like me, I totally understand! Sorry for jumping to conclusions like that…!”

Junko threw up the peace sign, chuckling slightly as she grinned, before waving off the apology, smiling a bit wider at his own smile being angled toward her.

👑 — ❝ Don’t worry about it ! You didn’t bad, so why apologize ? I’m Junko Enoshima, by the way ! ❞

Might as well introduce yourself, hm?

“Thank you…” Nagito took the books from the blonde with shaky hands, his face growing hot as he saw her smile. “I didn’t think you’d be so kind…please excuse my behavior…” Hastily steadying himself, he beamed at Junko in return.

Nagito could feel his heart beating loudly as he quickly averted his eyes from the female in front of him. She was younger than Nagito himself, and yet her presence seemed to ten times more powerful than someone as worthless as him. To be so close in proximity to such an attractive beacon of hope…it seemed as if it was a part of some ludicrous dream that his mind had somehow managed to create. Perhaps it was a nightmare?

“Enoshima-san! Please don’t mind someone as insignificant as myself, I was just…trying to pass through.” He looked up at the wannabe model almost leeringly, anxiously clutching a stack of textbooks in clammy hands. “I should leave, and not disgrace you with my…presence…anymore…”

Before he could take another step, he felt his foot distort into a strained position, and fell face flat on the ground, the textbooks hastily strewn next to him in a disarray.

Blue eyes looked up, her eyebrow furrowing a bit in vague confusion as she tilted her head. Why was this pale individual acting so... uncomfortable around her? She folded her hands quietly as she watched him, listening to the rough language he used against himself. Why would he think she was so special? Junko pressed her lips together, about to tell him that he didn’t have to be so critical of himself before... well, he tripped.

👑 — ❝ WHOA ! Are you ok ? You took a bit of a spill ! ❞

Junko immediately stood, her heels clinking against the floor as she tried to help him up, quietly grabbing at his books, glancing back up at him with a slightly worried smile, before helping him up, handing them back to him.
