It’s been quite a while since I’ve been on here! I can’t guarantee I’ll stick around, but I thought I would share my new read while I’m here - Marshlands by Matthew Olshan. It’s the first book I’ve ever read that was written entirely from the main characters perspective. It’s also a pretty short read, only around 200 pages I think, which I have recently discovered is the best length of book for me.

i started reading the secret history and i’m so in love with the characters already, mainly from the wonderful character descriptions

when i got home after the new years celebrations last night, i took off my boots and found this pin stuck in the bottom of one of them,, a good sign for the new year perhaps ? :-)

In 1561 an innkeeper called Hew Draper was imprisoned in the Tower of London for sorcery. Whilst incarcerated he made these carvings in the walls which displayed astrological symbols and numbers.
