"haunting the narrative" is one of those phrases i wanna put up on a shelf. not all characters that are dead haunt the narrative. not all characters that are dead haunt the narrative. not all characters that haunt the narrative are dead.

#this is also how i feel about 'doomed by the narrative' currently being equated to any character that dies #to be 'doomed by the narrative' their death (or other tragedy) needs to be a central cornerstone of the story #there is no other way the story could have gone or worked if they do not die #and the audience knows its going to happen or has already happened and knows they cannot do anything about it #because their story must and was always going to end that way #alice in lake mungo is doomed by the narrative. black widow dying in avengers endgame is not doomed by the narrative #in my opion #not st
