today in 1976, 6 unarmed palestinians were killed and over 100 others were injured by israeli forces during protests against the theft of their home.

today, even after 75 years of israeli occupation, they are still here. they are continuing to fight for their land, their history, their freedom.

today, we recognize the people of palestine and remind ourselves that we are still fighting and standing for palestine and we will not stop until a permanent ceasefire.

Watching op NAUGHTY, I was struck by the DCFDTL implying they only get coal every year. Ive watched this episode dozens of times but I never really sat with the implications.

The DCFDTL carry the aesthetics and attitude of "spoiled brats" but they aren't. Even in their huge mansion, even with Father probably buying them stuff to keep them out of his hair, they're far from spoiled. They don't get Christmas gifts, they generally probably don't get most things they want. They end up with strange, cheap hobbies like collecting toenails to pass the time. They're neglected and mistreated and their wants/desires are not considered.

I'm not saying anything new, but the line about them getting coal every year drilled home these things for me again. And I love the DCFDTL, as everyone should. They're a tragic and deeply sympathetic story.

Edit: it also puts their storyline in NAUGHTY in direct parallel to Kukis. We're meant to feel sympathetic to kuki, but not meant to feel the same for the DC even though they're both acting out from a place of sadness and loneliness

Operative Mr. Sanban? That sounds interesting.

I'm still convinced, 9 years later, that numbuh 3's dad was secretly a knd operative, because he managed to get in Sector V's treehouse, AND without tripping the alarms.

I like to think that Mr. Sanban called the KND for help before or maybe while in the treehouse, that's why the global command got there before Sector V. And perhaps the global command advised Mr. Sanban to stay in the treehouse until the issue is resolved because Numbuh 362 seems aware that he was there, and didn't seem to mind him being there.
