I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again. Chopper DESERVES. SOME. LOVE.

I used to feel the most sorry for Palm in this show, but that’s definitely shifted to Chopper. At least Palm has Neung with him through this madness. Chopper has NOBODY he can rely on. His dads a psycho, Ben’s mad at him, and Neung doesn’t trust him. He can’t catch a fucking break from anyone. Everyone refuses to listen to him and the hopelessness he probably feels is unimaginable. I feel so frustrated and sad for him.

Side note: I absolutely love how Perth has been portraying Chopper’s character and his micro emotions FLAWLESSLY. **Academy Award**

Holy shit the amount of unnecessary hate I’m seeing for this ep of NLMG on certain forums is insane. Are we watching the same show here? Neung NEEDED his time on the island to develop his character and sense of individuality to be able to finally face the chaos who is his uncle. There are so many people bitching about “if Neung was was so strong willed why didn’t he just go confront his uncle right away?” “The whole plot of him running away doesn’t make sense.” Excuse me, WHAT? Neung was most definitely not ready to take over his family business. Yeah he stood up for himself in certain situations, but he was in NO WAY ready for that huge responsibility. He made that clear numerous times in the beginning of the show. HIS LIFE WAS IN DANGER, and it made sense for him to run away for a short period of time to see things from a different perspective.

It took him being with Palm and seeing how people are dying because of HIM to finally say enough is enough. He NEEDED that push to finally up and leave. If he didn’t go to the island, he most likely would’ve been killed right away, because his character would’ve never gotten a chance to develop. At the end of the day, what a lot of people keep forgetting is that Neung is a kid with a mountain or pressure and responsibility. That kid has been through and seen so much shit. If he’s not making adult decisions the way people want him to, then GOOD. He’s not a fully grown adult. He’s suppose to be a flawed character that acts bratty and makes mistakes. People expect too much from his character and get upset when he doesn’t live up to it.

Some of the criticism is valid. I can agree that the plot got lost in certain episodes, the writing isn’t the best, and a lot of stuff doesn’t entirely make sense, but it’s not as bad as people are making it out to be. This is the first BL show that has fully caught my attention in a long time. Its different/new and it has me guessing how everything is going to play out at the end. I’m just frustrated. If the show bothers people SO MUCH, WHY CONTINUE WATCHING IT?
