Apparently shipping KakaIru in 2024 is "crazy".

Um...why?

Iruka and Kakashi are power equals who challenge each other to grow in fundamental ways. They are both driven by something greater than themselves, first their students, then the future, with Kakashi tapping Iruka to help him bring about the future he envisioned for Konoha and working together to change Konoha in a way where children can be brats and killing is not the automatic answer. They had conflict and resolution and synergy and are not canonically "just friends".

To dismiss them as not having chemistry is even wilder considering KakaIru is the only Naruto ship to achieve hegemonic status in Japan for the past 20 years. It is still the most active fan ship within the Naruto sphere there. I honestly cannot listen to them in Japanese and not think they are married 😂😂. Maybe we are all in a collective Infinite Tsukuyomi?

Oh well.

I love them and that's all that matters.
