Everyone’s advice was helpful!! I realized their place closes earlier in the day than i thought so if it’s still gnawing at me tmrw I’ll call.

The guy who I clicked with is probably doing just fine but it’s the server who was a different dude who I was concerned about, who deserves his tip but was unfortunate collateral of me and the other guy blushing and flirting and toeing the ground bashfully

I was visiting my old college town and I haven’t been in 11 years and it was amazing!! BUT

The last thing I did was go to a restaurant and the food runner had shaggy blonde hair, dreamy blue eyes, dressed like a cartoon character, absolutely can’t stand it so cute my type, absolute honey, but possibly too young for me I can’t tel how old ppl are

He told me he liked my hat when dropping off mh food but then came back around to say

Hey I never do this because it’s unprofessional but I think you’re so cute and I wanted to ask for your phone number

And so I said I think you’re so cute too and!! I!! Am leaving!! I don’t live here!! I live on the opposite side of the country!! He was like when are you leaving?! I said in a couple hours!! He was like aaaah! I said well thank you for the compliment and we parted ways, he seemed bummed but we waved on my way out

Anyway I wrote a note on the customer copy of the receipt “Your food runner Eli is a babe please let him know” with a drawing of a smiley Sun with sunglasses on

And then the merchant copy, i signed and tipped the server

But just now 6 hours later I see they did not charge the tip. So it makes me think the server didn’t see the signed copy.

So now it looks like I’m cheapskate who flirts with people at work and EFFECTIVELY, I AM

I’ll never see them again but more I feel like that sucks for my server,

What should I do, should I let it go and let him get over me by thinking I’m inconsiderate, or make it 1000x more awkward and call to fix the tip? Possibly embarrass everyone further? It was only $4 but I was a server and not getting tipped and then having to compliment your coworker sounds so irritating

$4 to fix my embarrassment and undo the rudeness? Or fold my hands and accept the hand I’ve been dealt

The answer is probably to leave it alone because it was not mh mistake and let Eli to feel both flattered and like he dodged a bullet 🥲 and anonymously send $4 check to lulus addressed to the server. And I find out that guys name by calling and describing him with a voice distorted and hanging up abruptly as soon as I learn his name

When Eerie gets caught up in her thoughts, she doesn’t blink for a long time.

A 100 yard stare into the distance just like an owl would with those big ol eyes

Connor sometimes snaps her out of it so she can re-focus on the task at hand, but other times she’ll shush him bc she is thinking important thoughts, she isn’t just mulling or daydreaming.

However, sometimes there’s no rush … so he starts taking the opportunity to have a nice long stare at her while she has a nice long stare into the abyss. Win-win situation
