“Love is a choice. Not chemistry. Not some kind of magical power. It is a choice. You choose to love someone. You love, and you love hard, because if you do not, you are lost.” - Queen Charlotte, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story
I’ve seen so many business deals fail due to parties being unsatisfied with one or several terms. They fight hard for the best deal, involving real mental and intellectual effort to reach an agreement. However, if there is no understanding in the room, they pack their bags, finish their coffee, thank the other parties for the conversation, and step away.
It’s one of those days when I had to find my own deal-breaker. It’s not easy. I had to reflect on all the times when I burned bridges and closed doors I’d once happily rushed into. Where is that point of no return? What is that very term?
My own thrill leads me down the darkest paths. My own thrill lets my soul be destroyed, heart broken into pieces until there is nothing left to recover.
There is no term. There is “live fast, die young.” There is ruination. There is everything until there’s no more.
“When someone leaves you once, you expect it to happen again. Eventually you stop getting close enough to people to let them become important to you, because then you don’t notice when they drop off your world.”
