Pormal nang inanunsyo ni VP Leni Robredo na ang Angat Buhay Program ng Office of the Vice President ay magiging Angat Buhay NGO simula Hulyo 1, ang araw ng pagtatapos ng kanyang termino bilang pangalawang pangulo.

Bukod sa lubos na pasasalamat sa kanilang mga taga-suporta, hinikayat niya rin ang lahat na ipagpatuloy ang nasimulan nang spirit of volunteerism. Layunin ng Angat Buhay NGO na maging organisasyon na may pinakamalawak na volunteer network.

Bago naman magsimula ang Thanksgiving sa grounds ng Ateneo, bumisita rin si VP Leni sa burol ni Nanay Gloria, isang masigasig na taga-suporta, upang mag bigay galang.

Hindi ko ito kakalimutan: VP Leni and her team celebrated with the people. She lost the race for presidency but celebrated the pink movement with us—she celebrated a new era with us.

On the other hand, BBM had a victory party together with the Marcos' new generation of cronies.

MDS reintroduced BBM to the general public. With her reputation as an iron lady, filipinos started to doubt their perception of the Marcos family.

Near the end of the campaign period for the 2016 elections, BBM with all his machinery betrayed MDS by sidelining her in favor of Duterte.

She's a great legislator BUT WE CONDEMN HER HISTORY OF ENABLING THE RETURN TO POWER OF THE MARCOS FAMILY.

BBM supporters now call for "respect for the vote of majority" as if they had given the same to VP Leni for the past 6 years. They cry to respect democracy yet frontrunner Bongbong Marcos called for a recount for the 2016 elections. He did it 3 times. He lost 3 times. Until the end of the campaign period for the 2022 elections, he still claims that he lost because someone cheated.

For 6 years, his supporters never respected VP Leni. Now they ask the same from us as if Bongbong is not guilty of maligning the vice president's name. I can and I will respect BBM as much as I could but I will not pretend that everything is alright. Most people from his team never even addresses VP Leni as vice president. I often hear BBM's spokesperson address VP Leni as Mrs. Robredo.

They say it was a clean election free of irregularities yet they fail to address how there are cases of electoral board staffs shading ballots in some precincts; they claim that it's the smoothest election in history yet ironically declare failure of elections in 14 barangays in Lanao del Sur; eight members from the Marcos clan was elected. As the May 9 elections ensue, multiple people all at different parts of the Philippines would claim that they voted for BBM but the receipt would have Leni's name—this conditions the mind of gullible Filipino voters that VP Leni was cheating. There are multiple videos of vote buying (most of these videos were already taken down on the internet).

Imee Marcos, eldest sister of Bongbong, is the chairperson of the senate committee on electoral reforms.

As the election was undergoing, BBM supporters would continue to mock us, shame us, and invalidate all our claims.

Their camp refuses to address how BBM would face US district court's contempt order.

People call for accountability from their family but they were silent.

They say there is no ill-gotten wealth. His words were "I cannot give what I do not have," but the missing Picasso painting glares at us when him, his mother Imelda, and his son Sandro was recently interviewed.

On the right, the paintings were replaced because the PCGG tried to recover the paintings from the Marcoses. Imelda refused to admit that the painting was in their house to begin with even though earlier recording for The Kingmaker tells us otherwise.

Right now, Bongbong is already portraying himself as a generous leader and I fear that someday, more of my fellow countrymen forget how this family refuse to be accountable.

I have said this again but I will say it again: the morale of the education sector is low. There are teachers who are ironically Marcos apologists but there are more of us who are frustrated. A lot of students are losing their motivation to continue. They see no point in putting efforts to their education saying that if the highest governing body lied about receiving a college degree (he didn't) yet still end up successful, then truly, this is a country that never cared for its civilians to be properly educated.

He plans to appoint frontrunner vice president Sara Duterte as next secretary for the department of education. The same woman who punched a sheriff years ago. The same woman who wishes for mandatory ROTC because she only see students as avid critiques of the government. They tell us that the youth has too much freedom and lacks discipline and it will break my heart if they weaponize the ROTC program against our students.

Miriam Defensor-Santiago was right. Stupid is really forever.

I will never thank BBM even if he does a great job. It is his job and responsibility, after all. His actions will forever be the bare minimum until he finally had the guts to acknowledge the atrocities of their family.

Many professionals and artists who stood against the Marcos-Duterte tandem are being ridiculed and shamed right now. Fanatics still continue to claim that the election was clean YET multiple accounts of evidences says otherwise.

Fake news peddlers in the country has been rampant and active since October 2021 and the fruit of their effort can now be felt at great degree.

Ang pinaka-masakit sa lahat ay ang panghahamak, panglalait, at pangtatapak sa reputasyon ng mga mulat na iskolar ng bayan.

Napakahirap unawain ng konsepto ng "Mag-aral ka ng mabuti upang ikaw ay maging matalino at magaling PERO huwag na huwag kang magiging kritiko ng gobyerno" ngunit iyan ang pilit na hinihingi sa kanila.

Hindi ako nag aral maging guro at kumuha pa ng MA sa edukasyon para manahimik habang iniinsulto ang mga mag-aaral na dapat ay pinakikinggan.

Ang gobyernong ayaw makinig sa mga iskolar ng bayan ay isang gobyernong takot na magkaroon ng matatalinong botante para sa mga susunod pang eleksyon.

To anyone who's wondering, "What's happening in the Philippines?" here it is:

We in the Philippines held our elections yesterday, and they are being rigged.

We are at risk of the son of a dictator taking the presidency seat, which endangers our economy, livelihoods, education, safety, and privacy. Every dirty trick in the book happened this election/campaign season - from fake news to broken voting machines and so much more.

The reason why he's in the lead is the result of years upon years of mis- and disinformation and deceit. We cannot afford the Marcoses to take presidency again, not after all the taxpayer money they squandered and the people they had imprisoned, tortured, and killed.

To my fellow Filipinos, continue to fight the good fight. We can't give up now. Di pa tapos ang laban. Kapit lang tayo.

So you may or may not know the current state of Philippine politics. There’s a very strong possibility that the son of one the most heinous and bloody dictators we’ve had in history is going to be president. Couple that with the VP-elect being the daughter of our current Human Rights violating President. We are not in the best state of things. As a Filipino I fear for my own stability and safety in the next 6 years alongside many others. We are fighting for our fragile democracy to not fall into the hands of yet another Marcos Regime. As of now there are peaceful protests and calls for our commission on elections to investigate all electoral anomalies.

Now over the past few days. Filipino artists are experiencing a significant withdrawal of clients simply based on the fact they are Filipino. With the main reason being the results of our elections and our president-elect. 

Needless to say this is discrimination over something that’s quite unfair. These are artists who work to help support their own livelihoods and these discriminatory pricks are being heartless. To put it in the most civil of terms, we filipinos, who are non-supporters, of the new political regime are being discriminated against for our nationality. We are not our president-elect.

As we all know commissions can be crucial to artists’ survival so please if you are capable please commission some of our amazing artists. Even if you can’t commission, we all know about the power of online advocacy. Spread the word and if able, encourage others to support filipino artists. imagine choosing a dictator’s son—whose family robbed many people’s lives, our nation’s funds, and even our people’s freedom of speech and expression—whose only platform is “unity”, faked his degree in oxford, has been jobless for six years, and is charged for multiple cases of tax evasion over a woman who has received a post graduate degree, is an attorney, is a strong mother to three daughters who are all successful, who has been the main proponent for the country’s solutions to covid-19, who is not afraid to take on any circumstances despite any hatred and judgement she has faced from misogynists, fake news peddlers, and misinformed people.

imagine choosing a mediocre actor and comedian who has no background in political science and law or whatsoever over an attorney whose platforms are evidence-based and are relevant to the country’s current struggles, just because of his looks.

i personally am worried for my future, and for the future of my fellow countrymen if this is the kind of mindset that majority of people will stick to. i am in pain. i am filled with anxiety about how the next six years will turn out to be for me if corruption and unjust governance will lead the country. though these might be the unofficial results of yesterday’s election, it shows everyone that people can be stupid and fucked in the head, letting themselves make the same mistakes they did decades ago.

stocks are plummeting with the spread of this sad news and the foreign investors are probably laughing at us right now. i know why. this leading candidate is banned in many countries for his crimes yet people are still voting for him.

the worst part is people believe that keeping a good character is enough to lead a country. sure, it is integral, but judging how people want to vote for an undergraduate and his evil upbringing, many people are starting to question if their hard work for getting a degree is still worthwhile, and this includes me.

i am speaking in behalf of many filipinos who are not satisfied with the results of the election. it’s very saddening for me to see selfish adults celebrating the “win” of a thief while their children are filled with horror and anguish.

fuck the marcoses. i stand proudly to fight for what’s right and i keep my moral integrity in me. 💖🌸🌷

I knew it was a joke and patutsada sa ibang mga magulang na bumoto ng tax evader at anak ng diktador. Still, it was humiliating.

As I type these words, I can't help but cry while remembering all the hardships I had to go through para lang makapagtapos—para lang matawag na isang Licensed Professional teacher. It was very personal for me, and just like many of my colleagues, feeling namin failure kami.

A lot of filipinos may not feel it but despite the education system's flaws and the lack of the government's support, we, the teachers, are all giving our very best.

Ilagay niyo kami sa face to face class, maga-adjust kami.

Ilagay niyo kami sa online class, gagawan pa rin namin ng paraan.

Ilagay niyo kami sa hybrid setup, gagawan pa rin namin yan ng paraan.

Patungan niyo man kami ng napakaraming administrative work, hindi rin namin yan pababayaan.

Saan ba kami nagkulang?

It still blows my mind that a lot of other supporters took it as a competition between Leni and BBM. Hindi po kasi ganon. Kakampinks were aggressive kasi uhaw kami sa good governance while other supporters are aggressive kasi they want to prove us wrong.

Kung "kabutihan" ang basehan ng nakararami at nakikita yun kay Bongbong Marcos, siguro masamang tao talaga ako.

Gusto kong radikal na magmahal pero patuloy na ginagawang puta ng nakararami ang Pilipinas.
