She was just an average guy. She would wake up, eat breakfast, and get ready for work. She didn't particularly like her job, but her coworker was friendly enough, even if a little too ambitious. She likes to keep her routine as normal as possible, and any little deviation usually bugs her but she tries to deal with it. Whether it be that she can't find a matching pair of socks or suddenly getting possessed by a demon, nothing is stopping her from getting her morning coffee & bagel from her favourite bakery.

World building time! For anyone who cares

I’ve been spinning this in my head since at least 2019 and never wrote it all down in a coherent way before so sorry if this makes no sense.

For some added content, the end goal here is a horror puzzle game, and I can’t code for shit so whatever.

There’s another dimension adjacent to our own that is where The MonstersTM live. The monsters create this sort of infectious plague/curse, that takes over your body and causes you to lose all sense of self etc.

There are three characters I’m sure will be part of this story, Kaiden, who opened the door, letting the monsters in, Rishi, who can see the monsters, and Lacey, who is infected. Lacey would be the character you play as and is the other character sprite shown above.

Rishi, is my just some guy. Some fun facts about him: he’s able to see the monsters and has an anti monster protection necklace. He doesn’t really do much with either fact. (There isn’t really much to do but whatever). He is trans, I did not decide that fact, I was drawing him one day and the information was bestowed upon me. I knew he was trans before I knew I was trans. His placeholder name was Marius (as in pontmercy) because that was the vibe I wanted for his name but I couldn’t pick one. He studied biology in college and would really rather get back to that instead of deal with interdimensional horrors.

ok i've gotten several comments on this so before we get into the oc brackets i want to acknowledge, yes i did use arthur dent from the 1981 show and not the 2005 movie with martin freeman. yes this was intentional. when i googled arthur dent to get images of him and it gave me that fucker from sherlock i felt like i got hit by a brick i didn't know the 2005 movie even happened until that moment
