Dear Orbits,
Friendly reminder not to buy any LOONA albums or stream their songs, music video’s or anything BBC uploads.
BBC has never paid the girls nor the staff. With BBC’s history of mistreating the girls, kicking out Chuu and trying to defame her, and especially the horrible pain they put the girls through by making them do an awfully planned world tour, it is very clear that they don’t see the girls as anything but disposable cash cows. Any profits they make from this comeback will be used as a fund for lawyers to fight against the girls’ injunctions in the courtroom and another designer bag for the ceo’s wife.
All the girls who have filed for an injunction (i.e. all members who are still under BBC except HyunJin and ViVi) have not posted anything since the news about the injunctions for contract termination.
ViVi can’t file for an injunction that easily as she’s a foreigner and obtaining a visa to stay in the country might become a problem. HyunJin has stayed behind because she had an ongoing gig and not to leave ViVi behind.
HyunJin has been very vocal about Chuu’s situation and showed her support. It is also very easy to tell from the messages she has sent that they didn’t know about a comeback. It is very clear that this comeback is a way to make some cash while they still can; a distraction from the ongoing injunctions, backlash for Chuu’s removal and the defamatory statement, fans’ claims of BBC being a money laundering front and evading taxes; and a ‘fuck you’ to Orbits and LOONA. Based on the girls’ silence it is safe to say the girls themselves don’t even want to do this comeback but they’re contractually obligated. Not participating would affect their case negatively.
One last thing to note is that the Japanese concert got ‘postponed’ indefinitely and not ‘canceled’ thus many Orbits haven’t been refunded yet.
For more information regarding the boycott you can head to LOONA Union’s twitter.
tldr: if you care about the girls as human beings do not support this comeback: do not stream any songs or music video’s, do not buy album or merch, do not buy concert tickets, do not try to enter fansigns. Don’t give BBC any money in any way.
Sincerely,
Orbitloona
