Hello, thank you for your ask. I know updates have slowed down, mainly because I have started a very challenging graduate program, but I am still doing my best to continue writing and posting Holly & Yew. I do plan on finishing the story and already have it outlined until the end.

I always welcome fanworks / fanfic of my story, and I don't see that as being contingent on me not completing it if that makes sense. You are welcome to write what you would like, but Holly & Yew is not abandoned in any sense of the word. I hope I answered your question.

I’ve never submitted any sort of thing or ask on tumblr like this so I’m not sure how it works and IF I’m doing it wrong I apologize but I felt like I needed to say something! I absolutely adore your fic Holly & Yew to the moon and back. Usually, I tend to lose interest in ongoing fics quicker than I probably should (it’s not my best trait nor is it something I like dealing with haha), but your beautiful, beautiful fic has managed to captivate me completely in a way that very few have managed to before and I just absolutely love that. The way you’ve captured Harry and Tom and everyone else in the story is just so incredible and the world you’ve built around their adorable friendship/relationship in general is truly a sight to behold 💗 Seeing Harry and Tom’s friendship develop into something a little more (not officially “more” yet but we all know they are Best Boyfriends in Love™) has been exciting and wonderful and so adorable and the way that you write them and their interactions is absolutely perfect. Sailing

After having loved we lie close together and at the same time with distance between us like two sailing ships that enjoy so intensely their own lines in the dark water they divide that their hulls are almost splitting from sheer delight while racing, out in the blue under sails which the night wind fills with flower-scented air and moonlight –without one of them ever trying to outsail the other and without the distance between them lessening or growing at all.

But there are other nights, where we drift like two brightly illuminated luxury liners lying side by side with the engines shut off, under a strange constellation and without a single passenger on board: On each deck a violin orchestra is playing in honor of the luminous waves. And the sea is full of old tired ships which we have sunk in our attempt to reach each other.

Will we ever see Tom Riddle Sr in this story? I will admit I think it would be interesting to see how Harry’s influence on Tom would change that confrontation. I will admit I thought what happens to TR Sr was very sad he was abducted, raped and escaped only to have the child that was the product of his rape hunt him down and kill him years later.

We will definitely be meeting Tom's family in the future. I don't want to give too much away, but I feel extremely sympathetic to Tom Sr. and am excited to write his storyline. Omg anon I am so guilty of doing the same. When I was drafting H&Y, I spent a solid couple hours coming up with their wedding outfits and we're not even close to being there yet haha. I think I just like fashion at this point.

I will admit I am curious to see how the overt romantic element in their relationship will change Toms behavior. Is there any chance we could see Tom’s perspective when Harry kissed him?

Hello! I am so sorry for my late reply! It's been a hectic few months.

I think the more overt romantic element to their relationship has validated Tom a lot, so he will simply get more shameless because he can get away with it. He's always wanted Harry in whatever way Harry seems willing, so now that he knows his and Harry's visions of their future are aligned, he is over the moon. It feels to him like all of his dreams have come true. I'm not sure how to smoothly incorporate Tom's perspective of their sort-of-kiss, but how about I try to make their real first kiss in Tom's point of view?
