FRIDAY OCTOBER 14th, 2022, I was at Mucem in Marseille for the 1st ‘Bike and Soft Mobilities Conference’– 1ères Rencontres du Vélo et des Mobilités Douces. I worked on the next step of the M2B project, for 2023!
It was the opportunity to screen the film ‘3 days with M2B’ in the frame of the festival Tous En Selle. This short documentary (4min15) was co-realized with Etienne Oliveau during the ‘M2B Beijing-Hong Kong’ performance.

I am happy and proud to be part of this exhibition presented at the Grenier à Sel, in Avignon (a few minutes walk from the Palais des Papes). A tribute to Nicolas Schöffer with the participation of 14 contemporary artists including Elias Crespin, Santiago Torres and Félicie d’Estienne d’Orves.
I am presenting a photo and a video of M2B, a work that was inspired by Nicolas Schöffer's SCAM (Sculpture Automobile, 1972).
The opening took place on October 8 and the exhibition will be on view until December 19, 2021.

NEW M2B SHOW IN DAKAR - November 28, 2020
Fally Fall performing with M2B at the opening of the show at Agence Trames in Dakar (Senegal) last Saturday. It was also the launch of Partcours Dakar, two weeks of art events and shows in the city.
Fall Fally is a roller dancer. We met in 2018 during the biennale in Dakar. He came one night to dance with M2B while I was riding the sculpture in the streets of the city, in the district of Gueule Tapée. I filmed him and his performance was one of the highlight of my 6 weeks spent in Senegal. I loved his great energy and his boundless style. We stayed in touch and it was obvious for me that we should collaborate again. For the opening on Saturday I knew I would not be able to come and M2B would then be presented static. Then I invited Fally to come and bring his fantastic moves into the show. He brought the magic that otherwise would have missed.
Thank you Fally Fall!-Big up to KAANI who supported M2B project in 2018 while it first came to Dakar

Since 2012 M2B travels around the world. The sculpture is still in Africa, in Dakar. It will be presented in Australia next year before to come back to Beijing in early 2022 to complete its 10-years world trip!

M2B WORLD PERFORMANCE 8th ANNIVERSARY
8 years ago, on April 22, 2012, I launched the M2B performance around the world. I had already circulated with the sculpture in the streets of Beijing for a year. I decided that this work should operate beyond the city. I wanted to experiment with ‘road art’. It took me 80 days to reach Hong Kong (2012-2013), then M2B was invited to Paris (2014), New York (2016) and Dakar (2018).
M2B is a representation of the world in motion around our world in motion. It combines Eastern and Western principles in order to celebrate slowness and introspection. This is an ongoing ‘artventure’!

Big thanks to all the people who supported the project and who made it possible, and especially today to Bérénice Angrémy who invited me to kick-start the performance at Caochangdi Photospring Arles in Beijing Festival in 2012, to Arora who courageously accompanied me on the sculpture for 3400 km from Beijing to Hong Kong and all the others.
To be continued…
