There are two options: Carpets and Paintings. The carpets have the symbols and colors associated with each magic school, while the paintings are portraits of the original sages.
You can have all of them installed at the same time, and you can put all of them down at the same time. Just keep in mind that if you place two or more objects that attract the same type of Sage, the sim will choose randomly between each object every time they try to do the interaction. The effect is only noticeable if you place them in different rooms.
