sorry fellas, but im gonna have to treat this blog as officially dead, or at least on an indefinite hiatus.

maybe im whiny, but theres been a lot of disrespect towards me, my characters, my boundaries, and more thats made making sprite edits a chore rather than something i enjoy.

id love to delete the posts with my ocs (something i didnt think id have to do, but considering the amount of people who steal izanami in particular...) but im afraid if i do that, ill delete the source people can link back to. it... really sucks. so please, if youre a sprite editor who wants to share edits with your ocs, WATERMARK! YOUR! EDITS! you dont know how many people will want to steal your designs, just because the art is in the same style as the original games.

not getting more notes cause “watermarks are ugly” isnt worth the blatant and disgusting theft of your work.

and with that, this blog will be on indefinite hiatus. this blog has caused me so much hurt from something i once enjoyed, and id rather just... not deal with it looming over my head anymore. i WONT delete my blog, but updates wont happen unless i really feel like it. do not send this blog any more requests. if you still want to follow me, you can find me on @lalnerd​ or @weepingalaxy​. thank you for enjoying my edits, but im done. ive had enough

out of curiosity, how much do you charge for sprite commissions?

sadly i havent gotten to do any commissions as of late, since ive been pits deep in projects, hyperfixations, burn out, and more. but, you can find my commission prices here! i will try to do more commissions, just know i have like… a pretty long waiting list dghfjd

i’ve been getting a lot of people asking me to join their fangan projects as an artist, and i’ve had to decline all of them. i’m not interested in joining any fangan teams, especially not if there is no payment involved.

listen. artists need to be paid for their work. if you keep asking for free art you’re being disrespectful to the artist and devalue the time and effort spent on drawing. if you do not have the money to spend on commissioning an artist then make the art yourself. i understand that may be harsh, but treating artists like they’re just fountains of infinite art hurts them and your perception of them. its disrespectful. do better.

as long as you dont mess with the original sprite edit, youre absolutely allowed to make as many edits of the design as youd like!!

honestly i dont have much advice, since all i really did was post any edits i had and accepted any requests people had

sometimes getting shout outs work, though all i can really suggest is getting as good as you can and make a bunch of edits to really get your name out there! popularity doesnt rly come quickly, i mean i got 4k in a year, but the most important thing is to do what you wanna do above trying to get peoples validation

from the bottom of my cosplay heart for letting me cosplay your monomi edit. It was such a hit (even if I did miss the dangan meet up day 1 😖) and so many people loved it, even people who didn’t know exactly know who I was thought it was cute. We managed a few pictures (these are my favorites) mostly cause these were our favorite cosplays of the weekend.

The monokuma (@missmythmoth on ig) uploaded some edits to her ig and even the tik toks we made

I took a bit of liberty with her makeup (the bottom black lip to make it look like her open mouth and a pink nose you cant exactly see)

SO! this blog was made a little over a year ago now, and i have to say, time really flies!! thank you all so much for your continued support, even when i havent actually used this blog in... well, months

im super sorry for not being more active with my sprite edits, ive been falling in and out of this fandom, and i keep giving myself big projects that never end up finished, and am currently working on-and-off on a dr au of another fandom im in. so ive been busy! and burnt out

i think i will try to make more edits, maybe dig through the requests i have currently to try and find something i can do!

thank you again for a year of supporting this silly little blog that was only meant to be a storage place for sprite edits! it means a lot to me, and i hope to continue to make content you all will enjoy, even if not edits specifically!

hello! i saw your video where you made a detective!angie sprite and i was wondering if you used the same process to make a sprite in paint tool sai. so uh yeah,, do you?

why yes, i do! the process works for photoshop, sai, and clip studio paint as far as i know - though im certain it works for other art programs as well!! my process isnt the end-all of ways to make sprites though, do what works best for you!

minnie my HUBRIS im doing 2 sprites for a friend gift and like another 2 or 3 for my ocs how do u do manage to not like freak out with sprites? Idk how to put it in better terms sjfhdjdbch

uhhhh i dont?? legit i dont have a way to cope with that i mean jesus christ i offered to edit a WHOLE CAST and panicked lmao...... id recommend trying to do less sprites? if its a surprise gift then its not like your friend will know if you only make them one sprite. you can make the second one later if you want as a surprise gift. and your ocs you can have more time inbetween them since its more of a personal project.

breaks are very important to ensure you dont burn yourself out! please be careful!
