day 112 - 4/21/24 - anchor sprite

i'm catchin' up! i'm catchin' up!

ironically, the anchor sprite behaves like a floatation device! the body sits upon the surface of the water, and the heavy tail hangs below. they will find and help people who are in danger of drowning - acting as an "anchor" to hang onto. achors are a very grabbable shape, after all!

day 110 - 4/19/24 - reverse snail

although it is a type of snail, it is the complete opposite of your usual snail in every way. the squishy body and hard shell have swapped places; now the body sits atop the shell in a spiral shape. whereas a snail is slow, a reverse snail can move at tremendous speeds. for a snail, that is. it's not going to outrun any cars, but it might near the speed of an airborne fly. unlike the hyper-defensive snail, which hides under its shell for safety, the reverse snail is hyper-offensive, with its fragile body completely vulnerable to the elements. with its tremendous speed it gores bugs on its shell's spikes, killing them before they get the chance to strike first.

day 109 - 4/18/24 - eclipsorm

I wasn't in the path of totality when the solar eclipse occurred. But the photos of the eclipse that I saw were nothing like I expected. It looked like someone had shot a hole in the sky.

The eclipsorm is an ethereal being from somewhere else. During a total solar eclipse, it is able to come through the wound in the sky and look down on our world from above. Over the duration of the eclipse it slowly worms its way through the hole, stretching further and further into our side of reality. It is unknown how long it is, or why it tries to crawl through the hole:

The photo above is pretty close-up, but what most people would see is this:

Sometimes cilia will emerge from it and wriggle around before retracting back into its body.

As the moon moves away from the sun, the creature will fade from existence, until the next solar eclipse occurs.

The night before I created this creature, I had a dream where I saw the solar eclipse. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen - not the eclipse itself, but the sky surrounding it. I felt like I could see the universe.

day 108 - 4/17/24 - headache giver

pokes its weird little needle into your head and injects headaches into you for literally no reason. it's not even doing this to be annoying or anything it just lacks the thought capacity to consider not doing it.

recently i have had lots of ideas but not lots of motivation. sad!
