hey, 64 monsters! that'e a whole stack of monsters!

roots itself in the ground in very harsh environments. using its height it surveys its surroundings, waiting for something to succumb to the elements. it then uproots itself and strides over to the dead (or soon to die) creature and pulls it up into its body, swallowing it whole. then it roots itself back into the ground, assuming it's not in a bad spot.

they can't hurt you (usually) but it's still scary to have them around. when you're walking through an arid, cracked desert and there's always at least one of them within viewing distance, watching you. it's disturbing.
