ok here’s my opinion on the jamie benn overreaction: it was literally an Instagram post that he could have liked by ACCIDENT. it happens pretty frequently lmfao. u see something on your explore page and u double-tap on instinct idk. u shouldn’t cancel the guy and call him a transphobe when he didn’t even say anything. but that’s just my opinion ✌🏻

i’m tired of ppl on this app & in this community rushing to defend these grown ass hockey players who just do blatantly racist, transphobic shit. they’re grown ups bae. they know what they’re doing. and they know what they’re NOT doing when they don’t show their support for marginalized communities ESPECIALLY in times of crisis. i’ve never heard jamie benn use his platform to uplift or promote women’s sports, but now he suddenly cares about who should or shouldn’t be playing on women’s teams?
