Riots are important and effective since most people such as yourself and the government care more about property than human lives. Lost lives impact us, lost property is the only way to make an impact on them.
I still don't see how burning and damaging things of an innocent would help the cause. And you talk about the material possession, but what about someone depending on that car and not having the money to buy a new one right away? It may be someone's home, or they may need it to go to work and feed their family. And why damage someone's shop and make their life miserable? Someone that has absolutely nothing to do with all of this.

Please someone tell me how burning things down is going to change things for the better. I am genuinely curious.
