Love at First Sight (Luffy x Reader)

A/N : I don't know if this was exactly what you wanted but I hope you'll like it anyway ! Sorry if there's a few mistakes, English is not my first language and I was kinda tired writing this but it was really great to write ! Let me know if you'd like a part 2 !

As you were busy taking orders in the little restaurant you worked in, you heard the door open and turned your head when you heard a bunch of people talking loudly. There were five people now standing at the entrance of the restaurant and you thought that they made quite an interesting group.

As you looked at them, your gaze was immediatly drawn to a young man, a boy that stood among them, wearing a strawhat that covered brown curls. He had a huge grin on his face and was scanning the place, probably looking for a free table.

You stared at him for a few minutes, completly forgetting that you actually had work to do and that part of your job included welcoming new customers.

You hadn't met many people in your life, since you never had the opportunity to leave the small island where you lived, but this young man was probably the cutest you had ever layed eyes upon. There was just something about him that made you impossible to look away.

The brown haired finally turned his head in your direction and you were met by beautiful brown eyes, sparkling with joy and something else you couldn't quite put a name on. The boy had lost his smile and was now looking at you with such wide eyes that you started to feel weird. Your hand tightened on your notebook as your felt your cheeks starting to flush.

A green haired man nudged the straw hat boy who immediately broke eye contact. Your looked away and took a deep breath as if you breath had been taken away.

You opened your notebook, deciding that it was time to go back to work and went to the counter to pass the new orders to your colleagues. You still felt a little weird because of what had just happened but you decided to ignore it and to look around for more orders to take.

You noticed that the only new customers in the restaurant were the group with the strawhat boy.

Your heart started to race when you saw him sitting at the table a few meters away from you, talking cheerfully to his mates. Were you actually going to approach him ? Yes, because it was your job. Why were you so nervous about this anyway ?

You took a deep breath as you made your way to the table and once again your eyes met with the boy, making you instantly blush.

"Hello, what-what can I get for you ?" you asked, looking at him and trying not to show that you were actually very flustered.

The more you looked at him and the more familiar he felt to you. It was a weird feeling but it was actually very nice.

The boy had opened wide eyes and was staring at you without saying anything.

"I didn't know he could stop talking." the green haired man said sarcastically.

"Luffy ? The waitress is talking to you." said a girl with orange hair.

Luffy. So that was his name. You didn't know why but hearing his name felt like music to your ears and you couldn't help but smile a little.

Your cheeks flushed even more as you kept looking at the boy in front of you, who seemed to be totally lost in his thoughts.

He was really beautiful.

Luffy blinked and got back to reality, but he still looked at you like no one had ever looked at you before. His gaze felt warm and gentle, but also very intense.

"Were going to take a bit of everything." he said with that same smile he had earlier, but this time it was clearly addressed to you.

A warmth started spreading through your whole body and you couldn't help but smile back at him, also a little surprised by his request.

His smile felt warm in your heart and somewhat familiar. He really did have a beautiful smile.

Your eyes simply couldn't look away as your thoughts started to race in your head. You had never felt anything like this before.

What was happening to you ?

"Someone's hungry." you replied after a few seconds, both amused and surprised to see that he had ordered the whole menu.

The boy smiled.

"I'm the future king of the pirates so I need to eat enough food !" he said with that same smile plastered on his face.

Future king of the pirates ? That was really ambitious but you thought it was actually endearing. He had dreams and goals and you thought that it added to his charm. And just by looking at him, you just had the feeling that this boy was capable of doing anything.

"I'll get you plenty of food, don't worry mister future king of the pirates." you said smiling.

His eyes widened at the nickname and you could swear that you saw his cheeks turned a little pink.

Wasn't he adorable ?

You decided to look away and took the orders of his friends, before walking away.

You stopped and leaned against the counter of the bar, trying to regain your composure. You heart was beating like crazy and you just couldn't stop your racing thoughts. Your mind was still thinking about Luffy, that beautiful stranger you had just met and exchanged a few words with.

You felt like you were going crazy but most of all, you felt like you were falling in love.

  “Nothing” You lied looking into her eyes.

  “Sure. I thought you were making heart eyes for Luffy”

  “No, i am not!” You exclaims.

  “Of course” She said as you groan. Nami is the only person who knows about your crush on Luffy.

  “I was not making heart eyes, i was just… looking respectfully” You put your hands in your face.

  “Yes i know. He looks at you respectfully too” Nami says as you gasp.

  “Don't lie to me” You respond and she smiles.

  “I'm not lying. I heard him saying you are cute”

  “Oh my God”

  “Yes”

  “Hi guys!” Luffy approaches you and Nami smiles.

  “Hello Luffy!” She said looking at you.

  “Hi… Luffy” You murmured.

  “I need to go” Nami walks away.

  “What?” You question her.

  “I have something to do but Luffy can tell you about how cute you are” You don't know what to say.

  “Yes i can!” He confirms.

  “Oh my God”

  “You are really cute!” Luffy says to you while you just smile.

  You are afraid of saying something wrong. He is so extroverted and now looking into his eyes so so handsome. He is really handsome.

  “Thank you Luffy… you are cute too” You managed to say and he smiles. Oh my God he loves you.

Fluffy marshmallow fluff!

It had been a normal evening on the Going Merry, dinner had been served and drinks being dished out by Sanji. Everyone had a few drinks in their system already and becoming quite chatty.

"I got a special dessert for you all!" Sanji announced proudly as he set out these adorable honey pudding cups. They were layered like a honey pot with a white chocolate comb on top- everyone awed at the dessert, you included.

You ate the pudding and hummed in delight. It tasted exactly like honey and cream in the most wonderful way!

You had zoned out so much on your dessert you didn't hear the conversation that took place- it wasn't till Nami said your name real loudly that you snapped from your thoughts- humming in question.

"We are talking about kisses (Y/N), Did you hear us?" Nami said with a giggle, You blush and shook your head.

"Sorry I really liked the dessert" You admit with a chuckle.

The crew laughed at this as Sanji looked to Luffy who was just into the food as you were.

"What about you Luffy? Every kissed anyone?" Sanji asked, Smirking at the idea. You did feel a bit of worry in your system- You had always liked Luffy quite a bit and hearing if he had kissed anyone could be a bit, hard to hear.

"Nope! I havent" He said cheerfully. Uncaring of such things clearly as he took another hefty bite of dinner.

"What!? You've never kissed anyone Luffy?-" Sanji said with shock at hearing this, you blushed at this hoping to shrink away from being called out yourself. However Nami turned her gaze at you with a wide grin.

"(Y/N?)~ What about you? Been with anyone?" She chimed at this wicked smile, you blushed deeper at this as you shyed away from the looks.

"N-No not yet-" You start but Sanji jumped forward.

"Want me to fix that?~" Sanji chimed out with a grin, earning a punch from Nami who looked at him in disgust. You blushed deeply at this and turn away-

"No no- I want to share my first kiss with someone special" You admit shyly. Which earned some chimes from others at the table- you felt embarrassed still about it all and choose to just finish your dessert and stay quiet. Not nothing Luffy staring at you quite a bit as the dinner came to an end.

That evening you got up from bed, still thinking about what had been talked about- and that honey pudding.. Getting up from bed you sneak out of your quarters and head to the kitchen- Getting there you quickly find one of the left over puddings and began to eat away with a happy hum.

"(Y/N)?" You damn near jump from your skin at hearing the voice and turned to see Luffy- he had clearly just crawled from bed too and made his way to probably snack.

"Luffy?" You hum pudding still in your mouth- Luffy just grins at you and quickly goes next to you to get into the fridge. Getting a large plate of leftovers for himself- however you noticed how he kept glancing at you.

"Luffy is something on your mind?" You questioned, he took a bite from some bread and stared at you hard.

"At dinner you said you'd kiss someone special right? Who would it be?" Your cheeks turned dark red at hearing this-

"Well... the only person I can think of is.. You?" You say softly, Luffy blinking at you in surprise before he smiled widely at this.

"Really? Me?" He said with a Bubbly joy as he smiled at this- Leaning in really close which made you blush deeply.

"Yeah, I would say you.." You admit, Luffy sets down his leftover plate and stared down at you.

"(Y/N) can you be my first kiss?" He asked innocently, this made your head spin- Luffy was asking to kiss!? You didn't know what to say, so you nodded softly unsure of what to really say.

He looked excited at this and grabbed your cheeks quickly, kissing you gently on the lips. You melted at this- he was so... gentle? And warm? His lips gently pressed against yours in the sweetest passion you had ever felt.

Luffy gently released you cheeks from the kiss, Carefully looking at you as he seemed to be deep in thought. Both of you blushing rather deeply at this whole ordeal.

"H-How was that?" You stutter out, while you didn't know a lot about kisses it was still something you wanted to be good at! Luffy stared at you frozen for a moment before breaking out in a wide grin.

"Your lips taste like honey"

Stay with Me (Opla Luffy x Reader)

You let out a long sigh, leaning over the edge of the ship and feeling the salty sea breeze ruffling your hair.

With so many thoughts surrounding your mind, you couldn't sleep even if you wanted to. When had things gotten so complicated in your life?

As if before you met Luffy it wasn't already.

It had all started when your parents died, when you had barely become a teenager. You knew it wasn't their intention, but they left you alone in the world, not knowing how to support yourself.

Having no other choice, you packed your bags before you were evicted from the house where you lived your entire life and went to the city's brothel.

Being young and pretty, you were quickly accepted to work there.

You hated more than anything having to sell your body to brute men who didn't care about anything other than satisfying their own needs. But you had to resign yourself, there was no other way for you to be able to eat.

Until one day, you couldn't take it anymore.

Trying to defend yourself from the attack of a man who wanted to have you at any cost, you pierced his throat with a shard of glass and he fell dead on the floor.

Horrified by what you had just done, you fled out the window before they found out what happened and ran to the port. After what you had done, you could no longer stay on that island.

Without seeing clearly what was in front of you out of desperation, you ended up bumping into a boy wearing a straw hat.

He didn't know your name, or who you were, but seeing how desperate you were, he allowed you to board his ship and left the island with him and his crew.

You ended up finding out that his name was Luffy, despite some of the pirates being suspicious of you and your intentions, he seemed to trust you completely.

From what you knew of men there was only one reason why he had agreed to help you.

Without waiting for him to try something, you snuck up on him first at the first opportunity you two were alone. However, to your surprise, he rejected you.

Confused, you asked if that wasn't what he wanted for saving you. He just laughed and explained that he only saved you because he saw that you needed help and didn't expect anything in return.

That day, something changed in your heart. You no longer saw him with the same eyes as before. And that was what you least wanted to happen.

From the beginning, your plan was to stay on the next island where the ship would dock and start a new life.

You had to forget about him, but it was practically impossible when you were stuck with him on a ship for days.

"Hey."

You were taken out of your thoughts when you heard a familiar voice coming from behind you.

"Hi." You smiled, like you always did when you were in his presence. "Can't sleep either?"

"No." Luffy replied. "I always get anxious before arriving on an island I've never been to before."

You chuckled, not saying anything else. You looked at each other in silence for an exaggeratedly long time.

"So tomorrow you're really going to leave?" He asked, finally breaking the silence that followed.

"Yes." You answered. "I've bothered you guys long enough."

"Stop it, woman, you don't bother us at all." He laughed. "But what are you going to do when you get to the island?"

"I still don't know." You sighed. "I can get a job somewhere there, I just know I'm not going back to the life I used to live."

It was clear to everyone that he was very worried about what would happen to you after you left the ship, in addition to being uncomfortable with the fact that you would probably never meet again.

You continued to look at him, noticing that he was slowly approaching you. You knew you had to move away, but his gaze seemed to have you trapped.

You tried to say something, but the words seemed to get stuck in your throat, your heart was pounding in your chest when you had him so close to you.

"What can I do to make you staw with me?" He asked in a low murmur.

You were caught off guard, not expecting him to say that. You had to admit it was tempting, but you didn't want to be dead weight.

"W-what are you talking about?" You asked, failing to try not to stutter. "What would I do here? I'm useless."

"No, don't say that." He said. "We can find something you can do, but what can I do to make you stay?"

You smiled, happy to realize that your feelings for him were reciprocated.

"I want you to say you love me." You asked in a sweet tone of voice, trying to contain yourself as you looked at his lips.

He moved even closer and wrapped his arms around your torso, continuing to look into your eyes and approaching his face from yours.

"I love you." He whispered, without waiting another second, he kissed you lovingly.

You kissed him back and wrapped your arms around his body, looking like you would never let him go.

After what seemed like an eternity, but not long enough, you broke the kiss, almost in the same second hugging him and laying your head on his chest.

"I love you too."

You weren't going anywhere the next day, you had finally found your place.
