Since we're still doing the Penelope Vs Colin thing I thought I would weigh in.

When Colin said what he said he:

Publicly mocked her after saying that he cared about her

Possibly ruined future prospects for her

Broke her heart

When Penelope wrote that Marina was with child she:

Publicly humiliated two people that she cared about

Ruined Marina's future prospects

Broke Colin's heart

So instead of pitting them against each other bear that in mind. They are basically even.
