“Dunno, girl. I bet the last time I was off the whole streets of L.A. was different. Memory designer, for Wallace Corp.”
“It can’t be that different. I mean, at this point the vast amount of changes in LA is kind of its own predictability, you know?”

                 “What about you is heroic?”
The brunette twisted her brows, almost offended. “I’m not heroic,” she starts, tone soft but stern. Natasha didn’t consider herself to be special in any kind of way. Everything about her was plain to the tee, made to only be a gear to society. It’s all her family stood for: to play a safe part in the bigger picture. At least, that’s what came to mind since the beginning of the replicants. The Wiggins family never cared for sides, though admittingly, preferred whatever side would keep their family out of the spotlight. Her parents were mundane. Her mother, a hairdresser, and her father, a mechanic. They wanted to live simple lives and out of harms way, but all of that changed when Natasha came into the picture. Something about her firey will as a child ignited a flame they didn’t know could be lit. She was energetic, eager to help and eager to please.
The first replicant to move into their neighborhood made life more exciting. Natasha asked all sorts of questions, and despite being rather nosey, the replicant helped pave a way into what is now, her most greatest passion.
        “Not one bit.”
Time went on and Natasha evidently became her father’s right hand woman. By fourteen, she proved to be better than most of the mechanics and technicians he knew. Her father knew she’d do well on her own, which granted him peace. Being surrounded by the best technology motivated her to grow with the masses. She was all about being a part of history--- of something great. However, times have changed and even just the slightest thought of how she used to be, of how wanting to be her own hero triggered a flicker of anger.  The first replicant that lived in her neighborhood had been gunned down when the blade runners began making moves, traumatizing her. Having witness the event prompted Natasha to tape her mouth and hands by her sides. She didn’t want any part of it--- not anymore. Enginerring, reparing... it was still her life’s work, something she’ll probably do until the day she dies. But that fire? It died and the girl never wanted to ignite it again.
             “I don’t want to be anyone’s hero.”

lolahartley:
It was late, probably too late to be walking around the streets alone but Lola didn’t really have a choice at this point. She could barley afford her crappy apartment let alone a car. She couldn’t help but be a bit paranoid when it was this dark out, so after she heard what she thought were foot steps getting closer behind her her heart rate speed up. Finally the girl abruptly turned around, her hands going up as if to defend herself from whatever her mind imagined was behind her. “Why are you following me?” Part of her brain realized she was more paranoid then she needed to be but the dark and quiet streets around her made her imagination go wild.
Tumblr media
Stopping in her tracks, Natasha pulls her large hood back, brows furrowing at the small brunette before her. “Um--- not following you, just getting home,” she responds flatly, bringing her combat boots closer. “You’re totally on edge, are you okay?” While she hardly lends a free hand to anyone, Natasha felt somewhat sympathetic. It wasn’t too long ago that she was also treading through a dark night trying to make it home, barely making enough to grab a snack on the way.

cecilielevi:
If she were keeping a list of noteworthy shifts, this one wouldn’t make the cut. It’s been relatively quiet, comprised almost entirely of breaking up minor disputes and following up on prior incidents. No excitement so far, and constant surveillance of her surroundings as she shifts easily through the heavy foot traffic consuming the narrow city streets yields nothing of consequence. But she does spot something slip free of someone’s pocket up ahead of her. Cecilie grabs it and picks up her pace to catch whoever it is before she loses them in the thick of the crowd. “Hey,” she says, settling a gentle hand on their shoulder as she approaches. “—Think you dropped this back there.”
Tumblr media
Feeling her shoulder being pulled back triggers her jaw to clench. Her heart stops for a moment and despite having done nothing wrong, it was just a feeling she couldn’t seem to shake. Natasha supposed that maybe it was her form of PTSD, no matter how minor it was. “Geez---” she shakes her head, sighing as she reaches for her brick red pouch, incredibly relieved that it was just a kind gesture from a stranger. “Thank you,” she meets her gaze, a soft grin falling on her features. “Never know what I’d do without this thing. I appreciate it.”

replicantmille:
Running into people was not something Mille was accustomed to. They were designed for perfection, after all, practically unable to make such mistakes. When they did find themselves colliding with another, it was safe to assume the other person was the one at fault. This case was no different. The woman they had collided with had headphones in her ears, concentration seemingly entirely focused on whatever she was listening to. Mille wondered what it was like to allow oneself to lose themselves completely with no fear of consequences. They thought it might be nice. “I’ll use whatever tone I like,” they responded, sounding more annoyed than angry now. They did not like being reprimanded. “And I don’t see the danger in snapping.” After all, until the chief grew tired of them or invested in a newer model of replicant, they were practically invincible.
Tumblr media
Natasha couldn’t help but pull back with raised brows at their tone, despite the predictability of their response. Many were so ready to tear off anyone’s head these days, but not Natasha. The brunette liked to think it was people like them that made the world go round. After all, if they were all as nonchalant and unmoved as she was, the world probably wouldn’t be where it is today. Still, even just thinking about that very topic exhausted her. “Obviously,” she mutters. “Otherwise you’d be more polite, regardless of who to blame.” She gives them a once-over, deciding that the brunette’s appearance matched her attitude to a tee. “I was just giving my two cents. Everyone’s ready to reach for the throat. Just thought it’d help since you’re probably incapable of a chill pill.”

dominicheaton:
Being late wasn’t unusual for Dom. If anyone asked, he’d say it was because he was busy but, in reality, he just wasn’t great at managing his time. Today, though, he honestly tried to be on time. Maybe that’s why he was only ten minutes later – for Dom, that was practically early. “Sorry I’m late,” he said apologetically, holding up his phone as he approached her. “You can fix anything, right? I heard you can fix anything. This is… It’s really important. There’s, uh, government… stuff on there.” There wasn’t. What was on the phone was the only photos he had of his mother which, if you asked Dom, beat out government stuff.
Tumblr media
Natasha stands up straight, eyes falling on the phone in his hand. She sighs a bit, eyes pulling up slowly to meet his own. Nat didn’t necessarily feel like she was above phone repair, but it made her chuckle--- especially when she had just come from rewiring a smart house of sorts for a friend. Nevertheless, a job was a job, no matter how small. “You heard, huh? I wonder what other stuff people are saying about me.” When he mentions ‘government’, a smile grows on her features, finding it quite amusing. “Is it really, though? You don’t seem that sure.”

landonxwest:
So he might have been a little dramatic in his explanation of ‘upomost importance’ that my item gets fixed. In the end of it all, he was late for his appointment. Landon had been on a lead and very much got obsessive at times where nothing else seemed important. Well, after the dead-end lead there was the ‘OH SHIT’ moment as he remembered the piece of tech sitting in the piece of shit junker that the LAPD had loaned him while his car was at the mechanic’s shop. It was all viciously interlinked - good thing the Blade Runner was better at his job than keeping up with life. He now entered into the business carrying a box with the bits and pieces that had been salvageable. Sure, the LAPD could have done it, but god knows how long the monkey’s in the IT department there would take. “Yeah, uh sorry, little late.” He set the box down. “I had a bit of a problem with the computer from my car.” He reached inside and took out not 1, not 2 or 4, but four pieces of hardware that at one time had all been one piece and hook up and connected back to LAPD headquarter. “Um….let’s go with something heavy fell onto it,” He explained of the smashed pieces. “The LAPD team could have done it but I won’t see it for the next month and that’s if something of more high priority doesn’t come in. So….yeah, I was hoping you might be able to do something with it.”
Tumblr media
Her brown hues fall as the box did, lifting them back up to meet with the males. She couldn’t help but raise a brow, chuckling with a nod as she takes a closer look. “Okay, let's go with that,” she decides to play along. She looks up when he mentions LAPD, not one to shy from giving him a once-over. Sure, she nods, finding him suitable to the title--- not that she had a real say in the matter. “I can do a thing or two,” she stands up straight, rolling her shoulders back. “When do you need it by?”

Rohan was closing up shop–or at least he was supposed to look like he was. He was actually meeting someone about a replicant who needed to be in hiding. They were late and he was on his second smoke break. He could only keep going so long without seeming out of place. There was someone approaching, Ro watched for a moment, seeing if they were actually approaching him. When he realized they were he stood up a little straighter. “Hey, can I help you?”
“Yeah... um,” Natasha looked around, sighing heavily. The brunette had never been the type to want to be an inconvenience. She was all about blending in, to be everywhere yet nowhere all at once. However, to go against the body’s natural order... just wasn’t something she could control. “I saw you were closing up shop and I’d to annoy you, but... would you by any chance have a restroom in there?”

replicantpuck:
Puck was distracted, his mind on at least five different things as he made his way through the crowd. He was on his way back home to Laurent’s. The crowd thinned out the closer he got to the resident. The feeling of less people somehow made him more nervous than less. His attention was drawn from his thoughts at the voice. “Me?” He brought up his hand and pointed at himself. He looked around to make sure. It wouldn’t be the first time he had confused someone not talking to him. “Nothing’s broke. Sorry, ma’am.”
Tumblr media
Natasha pulls back and despite the plethora of patience the girl had, she could feel that line growing thin with disappointment. “Alright---” she sighs, looking down before she brings her eyes back up to the male. “Would you happen to know where this person is, then?” she stands up straight, gesturing to the apartment behind her. “Do you live nearby?”

ryanvogel:
It seemed that anytime she had something she had to do right after closing up shop, there was always something that came up. Her other employee had the day off and so it was just her and her replicant except the man who came into the shop ten minutes until close was both a jerk and a idiot. At first he refused to let her replicant take care of him in her stead and then when Ryan told him he’d have to, the man had a fit thinking the Ryan Vogel who ran the place was a man. But now she was walking to her appointment place, the woman leaning against the door was the technician she needed help from. “Yeah, that was me, Ryan Vogel. Sorry, I’m late. I know–time is money. I’ll pay an inconvenience fee. My ordering system at my shop is completely down and buying and installing a new one is way too expensive.”
Tumblr media
Natasha couldn’t help but give the brunette a once-over, genuinely expecting a man and not a woman. Nevertheless, she shrugs--- a customer is a customer. “Don’t worry about it,” she waves, shaking her head. “Unless you turn out to be an asshole,” she starts, inhaling as she pulls the earphones from around her neck, shoving them into her shoulder bag. “Then I’ll bring that inconvenience fee back into the conversation. Otherwise, just lead the way,” she bears a grin, ready to work.

replicantmille:
Perimeter checks were the only time Mille was permitted to go out on their own. It was not due to a lack of trust, they knew – after all, they had no choice but to obey, had never been given the gift of noncompliance – but their boss preferred to keep them close. He was a vastly paranoid man, and for good reason. There were no shortage of people who wanted him dead, after all. There were few things Mille got any sort of enjoyment from, but these checks were among them. They enjoyed being away from their boss, enjoyed these brief windows of something that could almost be referred to as privacy. They said almost, of course, because the streets were still crowded. Constantly aware of those  around them, Mille slipped through the crowd with ease, avoiding colliding with bodies. Until, that was, one collided with them. They took a step back, enhanced balance keeping them on their feet. “You should pay more attention,” they snapped, anger quickly rising in their chest. Anger, too, was something they enjoyed. Some days, it was all they had.
Tumblr media
To say Natasha was blessed with patience was one hell of an understatement. Waiting in line, walking through crowds, and even the loud ‘hustle and bustle’ of her neighbors never seemed to bother her. The girl was savvy. Always plugged into the news, music, podcasts, a good book--- whatever it may be, Natasha savored it. Passing time was her specialty, and using any outlet she can to ‘tune out’ aided that said ‘blessed’ patience. Running into other people was a normal thing, as most didn’t see where they were going--- her included. She was looking for a good podcast until her body slammed into another, phone falling to the floor. While these usual occurrences would have the brunette wave her hand with a lazy apology for not looking, it seemed as though she would have to spend a few moments of her time, tending to another’s anger. She bends down with a loud sigh, braids falling past her shoulders as she comes to meet the other’s view. “And you should mind your tone,” she slipped, the crack screen igniting a flame within. She shoves it into the pockets of her oversized army coat, looking back up with a pressed grin. “It’s my fault for not looking, but it’s not smart to snap and just anyone.”

Leaning against the door, plugged in as per usual, the brunette sighs heavily. Customers weren’t often this late to appointments, especially when what they need fixing was ‘vital’. Ten minutes had passed, and upon seeing a pair of feet come into view, she pulls her earphones out, looking up. “You called, right? You need something that needs fixin’?”

Television is hard. The structure of television is very tidy, and I am not a tidy actor. I find it a little constricting, but I do like it. The main thing I’ve come to realize as an actor is that you’re dead in the water if you judge the material. You have to find a way to work with everything and get on with it.
