Ridiculously couple-like things that happen to McDanno

1. Multiple people (at least one a season?) assume Steve and Danny are married to each other, or at least comment that they’re acting like a married couple.

2. They say “I love you,” to each other ALL the time while simultaneously finding it very hard to say it to their girlfriends. (Girlfriends which have been around for multiple years??? And apparently are cool that their guys can’t say they love them???)

3. “What? Nothing? No hug? Nothing?” / “I am am so happy to see you right now I’ll give you a hug, a kiss, pick a base,” is actual real dialog between these two goofs.

4. “Wow, babe. You clean up nice,” is actual real dialog too.

5. Yes, they call each other “babe.” Like every other episode (not exaggerating).

6. When friends want to get news to both of them, they just call one of them and trust that he’ll tell the other. Basically, their friends treat them like a couple.

7. “They’re in love again,” is actual real dialog that one of their friends said about them.

8. They go to couples therapy (a mandatory 24 hours a year), so we get to see them in therapy sessions and doing therapy homework. Very domestic!

9. They actually went on a couples therapy weekend at a resort, shared a room, and made relationship progress.

10. People walk in on them touching each other intimately (heads together, hands on lower back), they break apart guiltily, and the interrupter assumes they barged in on something romantic.

11. Steve always introduces Danny with, “This is my partner, Danny Williams,” and it’s not unusual for people to assume he means romantic partner. (Nevertheless, Steve keeps introducing him this way!)

12. They go on a Valentines Day resort retreat together, with their girlfriends, but spend more time with each other than the women.

13. ICING ON THE CAKE: on that valentine’s trip, they sit on the same side of the table during a dinner date. Steve has his arm across Danny’s shoulder and caresses his ear and neck the whole time.

14. Once, they were watching a movie with Danny’s daughter and Steve’s girlfriend AND THIS HAPPENED:

Like, the girlfriend got relegated to the other side of the couch! Ouch.

15. They know their way around each other’s houses so well that they can easily cook in each other’s kitchens.
