I’m still on my story...sorry 😂: . Finally, I reached my destination and looked upon her sweet face and beautiful smile, pushed the door and well the jokes started right away 😜 the voice changing for dramatic effect of course! . Even though I was in pain, I was so excited to meet @un_amour_de_laine , she did not disappoint ; my fellow Taurus ♉️ 😉!@un_amour_de_laine thank you again for waiting 🥰! . For quite a moment there none of what was said was said in any serious way, except when it was time to pick our yarn 🧶. . Because it is serious business 🧐. . I pick my yarn based on what I’d like to knit , now my thought process being the mess that it is, I’ll change my mind every 2 minutes 🙄. Once I knew what yarn I wanted, I had to pick colors...🤪. . Decisions decisions, I went for #thepetitewool in the colors you can see in the previous post. . Now there were such beautiful colors for other yarns ; mauve or lilac, purple, marine blue, olive green oh 😲 and a pale olive green so pretty;), for #thewool , my favorite was the yellow honey 🧶 (these are not the color names) !. . As for #thecotton well the reds and oranges as you can see on my close up in this video were everything 🤩. . So, if you are in Paris, have time and the will to face the transportation system or the traffic (if you’re driving), I suggest you check it out, the staff is great 😉, and to be able to see the colors and touch the yarn is quite the experience, it helps you envision your projects to come, #knitspo as they say 😂! I now know what I’ll order next on the @weareknitters website 😉😋! . I’m sorry I’m not translating this post as well as the previous one, they’re too long and I basically would have to create 2 more posts. So...get comfortable and get yourself a cup of tea 🍵 ! @un_amour_de_laine and myself had plan to meet for the first time @weareknitters #WAKpopup because why not?! We connected through knitting so it was only fitting. I was out my door a 10:00 fully aware of the ongoing strike, I thought I would arrive around 1pm maybe 2pm so hopeful...dare I say...naïve. To reach my destination it was clearly going to be a combination of bus, tramway, subway, I also knew that there was a very strong chance I would walk...let me just say I WALKED like I never walked before...and I am the kind of person who likes to walk.... TRAUMATIZED(overreact much?!) 😂. The bus part was fine considering the strike. Feeling pretty good when exiting the bus, I was to hop aboard the tramway which I did, to ride it from beginning to end which I tried to do😬, at the 7th or 8th stop (there were at least 25 stops total) we were told to get off the tram, and that the next one would be at 3pm. Now @un_amour_de_laine had already been waiting for me, so I decided to walk from Porte de Pantin to Châtelet 😐 , i was determined, and probably feeling myself a little. I made another decision... 🥁« let me use maps » I have no skills whatsoever when it comes to orientation, so it made sense to rely on my phone and that annoying voice 😬. I am still wondering if my phone was pranking me, revenge maybe?...For some reason it made me follow a itinerary that took me from point A to point....A 🤬🤯! I walked for 3 hours only to get back to my starting point, I walked for kilometers (not overreacting) boulevards and avenues from end to end, I was walking pretty fast too, trying to arrive quickly so that @un_amour_de_laine 🥰didn’t wait for much longer, both our phones batteries had died...I just had to get there! I did but only after I threw caution to the wind and followed my gut, on several occasions I ignored it and stuck with #maps, I shouldn’t have 😂. My whole body is in pain, I am discovering muscles I didn’t know existed 😜. With the strike I couldn’t go to the gym so let’s say that this unexpected training session will count as exercise 😋. Hi guys and girls 😋! . 🎄 How are you? Me..?! Well, I’m good even though I’m in pain...I’ll explain in the next post 😉😬! This is my little haul from the time spent @weareknitters #WAKpopup in Paris with @un_amour_de_laine and @geknittkrea . I needed 2 skeins 🧶 of #thepetitewool in fuchsia neon for the sleeves of my black/fuchsia sweater (few posts below) as for the other colors... I have something in mind but I want to keep it to myself for now 😏. Anyway I also bought @knitproeu Nova #circularneedles , but the ones I have received weren’t the ones I actually wanted, I was intrigued by the square-shaped #knittingneedles as I wasn’t sure what their purpose could be, but it seems I made a mistake 🤷🏽‍♀️ while placing my order. I first wanted to get cables but then thought it would be smarter money wise to get needles too. In the end I’m keeping them because they’re needles, you can’t have too many 😋 or can you...?! Hello 👋🏽 ! 🎄Happiness...not really! I have taken 3 buses and now I am enjoying a tramway that I have to ride from start to finish 😬25 stops total ! Hello 😉! . 🎄 Started on the first sleeve, I chose to pick up stitches to have the best finish 😏possible ! As for assembling both part of the body I used a three needles bind off technique, but instead of a third needle I used a crochet hook 😋, it’s just cleaner. I learned how to bind off with a crochet hook when knitting the #letwisthb . It’s such a satisfying technique and a beautiful, clean finish that I just don’t see myself doing anything else....Goodbye sewing 🧵😬😜. . 🎄 About pictures well...I got myself acquainted with @vsco , let’s just say I’m intrigued 🤔. . Do you like it? I think I do 😏. . I still don’t know what type of camera 📷 to get, to take better pictures. My issue is with the zoom mostly, for detailed pics my iPhone just changes the tone of the colors ...quite a lot, and the texture is really not terrible 😬it drives me nuts ! Rather than buying a new phone 📲, I feel it makes more sense to buy a camera 📷 , for versatility, I won’t only take pictures of wool 😂, there is also family time, vacation etc...and I would like to learn photography just as a hobby. . Do you guys have recommendations to make? Or maybe what characteristics to look at before purchasing ? . hybrid, reflex, ISO, micro 4/3, zoom x40/50/60...) needless to say I am at a total loss...I just wrote down a bunch of terms I’ve been reading about lately🤯...did you think I knew what I was talking about?! Good morning / Bonjour 😊! . 🎄After some back and forth (with myself 😏!) I decided to go for a rather simple pattern for my black/fuchsia sweater, and I’m sticking with the #shakerribstitch 🥰. I’m knitting with the lovely #thepetitewool, and I truly love this yarn 🧶, the body will be black and the sleeves fuchsia 🥰. I hope I have enough skeins 🧶, but if it’s not the case, if possible I’ll go and get some more at the @weareknitters pop up in Paris 🤩 ...it might be difficult since the strikers are not letting up 💪🏽! . I have discovered that I have an affliction...it is at this point a medical condition🧐, I changed my mind about the #rosettesweater ...What?!!?No way 😮! 🤪So...drumrolls 🥁...it’s frogging time 😂, well actually I have enough wool to start anew and leave the frogging for later therefore that’s what I’ll do. Now about that picture, well I have a few skeins 🧶of black and neon fuchsia left and they’ve been calling to me. Should I? I have other #wip waiting for me...maybe I just start a little 😋, just a few rows...to see what’s up 😏. I plan on going to the pop up store in Paris🙌🏽💃🏽! Hi 👋🏽 ! 🎄Didn’t knit 🧶 much today, just 4 rows, so here’s a little video, i really like how it looks on both sides 👌🏽. Today I was out running some errands...well at first I was supposed to buy a pair of sneakers since I ‘m exercising and I need a bit of motivation 😉. I planned to actually go and exercise afterward so...I bought...a pair of Nike and while I was there a hoodie too, then 2 tshirts, then I left. I didn’t exercise, instead I went and spend some more. So I’m going to eat and knit a little more to forget 😂! I’ll exercise tomorrow..maybe 🤷🏽‍♀️🏋️‍♀️. . 🎄 Je n’ai pas trop tricoté 🧶 aujourd’hui, seulement 4 rangs, alors voilà une vidéo, j’aime vraiment le rendu des deux côtés 👌🏽. Aujourd’hui je suis sortie faire quelques courses...je devais acheter une paire de baskets pour m’entraîner histoire de me motiver 😉. J’ai prévu d’aller m’entraîner par la suite donc... j’ai acheté...une paire de Nike et pendant que j’y étais un sweat à capuche, et deux t-shirts, puis je suis partie. Je ne me suis pas entraînée, en fait j’ai continué à dépenser. Alors maintenant je vais manger et tricoter un petit peu pour oublier 😂! Hello 🙂, . 🎄Currently attempting to knit a sweater for my mother without following a pattern. I chose the #shakerribstitch which is fairly simple but has the advantage to look good on both sides...so maybe reversible...🤷🏽‍♀️ well w’ell see. I am taking notes 📝 , even used my @prym.consumer knitting calculator 🤓. I’m happy with the #zeemanjulia yarn 🧶, I’ll definitely purchase again from @zeeman_france 😄, thank you again @jimmytricotin 👌🏽. . 🎄 Actuellement en train de tricoter un pull pour ma mère, sans suivre un patron. J’ai choisi le point #côtesperlées qui est plutôt simple, et a l’avantage de rendre bien des deux côtés...donc peut-être réversible 🤷🏽‍♀️, on verra bien. Je prends des notes 📝, j’utilise même mon calculateur de tricotage de @prym.consumer 🤓. Hey 👋🏽 ! . 🎄 Full disclosure, I have not finished the #septembersweater in mohair, for some reason this one is not getting done. I would rather put it aside then knit something I don’t want to knit 🧶...I’ll find the motivation again. . What do you do when you’re not motivated anymore but almost done? 1. Do you force yourself « just a few rows! »? 2. Do you put it aside and start something new while waiting for a better day ? . I am playing with the new yarn I got from @zeeman_france , I’ve started with the #zeemanroyal 🧶 it’s 100% acrylic, I bought it in dusty pink, black and light grey, I don’t know yet what I’ll do, but I have many ideas 💡 😝. The other one is #zeemanjulia 🧶 which is 80% acrylic and 20%wool, I’ll use this one to knit a sweater for my mom 😊🥰! . . 🎄 Je vais jouer cartes sur table, je n’ai pas fini le #septembersweater en mohair, pour une raison que j’ignore je n’arrive pas à en venir à bout. Je préfère le mettre de côté plutôt que de me forcer à tricoter quelquechose que je ne veux plus tricoter 🧶 ...je retrouverai la motivation ! . Que faites-vous quand vous n’êtes plus motivée mais que vous avez presque terminé ?1. Vous vous forcez, « plus que quelques rangs à faire ! » ? 2. Vous mettez votre ouvrage de côté et commencez quelquechose de nouveau en attendant un meilleur jour? . Je joue avec les laines que j’ai achetées chez @zeeman_france , j’ai commencé avec #zeemanroyal qui est 100% acrylique que j’ai en vieux rose, noir, et gris clair, je ne sais pas encore ce que je vais faire avec mais j’ai plusieurs idées 💡 .
