i'm watching DAYS and yeah tsukamoto isn't a great soccer player. but his whole arc is supposed to be starting from the ground up and building up his skills as an athlete. the annoying part is the coach, who keeps giving him opportunities at inappropriate times at the expense of other more deserving players and the team as a whole. i think we could have still had a story (and even a more interesting one) if he'd been forced to actually EARN his spot at tournaments.

i mean think about this. for just a few minutes. you and another person bring a child, or multiple children, into this world. and you are saying one parent, the one who does the caregiving, should also be taking full financial responsibility so that the other parent can screw around and live the lifestyle they want. "before you use the money you earned at your job to buy yourself nice things, have you considered that maybe it could instead be used to negate my need to contribute anything towards my own offspring?" like. wtf.

the whining about child support is unreal. "dads go to jail if they can't pay!" what do you think happens to the custodial parent if the child isn't being fed, clothed, or housed? "but she's getting her nails done!" how dare she have any type of disposable income when she could be using that money to subsidize your choice to have a kid and walk away?
