Janlenoux, like a good fairytale prince, comes with a paissa sidekick. It's up for debate if the negative reaction is to something awful and heretical or just awfully dumb, like "I wonder what roasted moogle tastes like?". Potentially both.
He is likely to try and play it down how much he likes you, but the paissa gives him away.

More dating sim shenanigans, this time with everyone’s favorite (?) inquisitor!
Charibert, like all the other romance options, has a 'good' ending, but his is notoriously hard to get. If you are only in it for the completion you are better off grabbing a guide, because he's not easy to please.

From a Discord conversation with @beasthuntergalvus. Something about Sparrow meeting the Heavens’ Ward and Zephirin being haunted.
Charibert and Sparrow go drinking and rate men they see.

So there was talk of Heavens' Ward recently and that's as good a reason as any to act on my Ward dating sim brainworms.
Zephirin is an A+ boyfriend, I don’t make the rules.

Back on my AU bullshit again. Innocence ft. questionable fashion choices.
I just think he’s neat, love his eyeliner. Don’t ask me about the shirt because I have no clue what’s going on with that.

Roleswap AU with Charibert and Percy.
One WoL with a bad case of dragon corruption, flirty and confident and wild after slaying gods for a living
vs
One mage of the Heavens' Ward, cold and cruel, his worst traits brought to the forefront by tempering

King Thordan
After years of nurturing the deification of Ishgard’s dounding father, Archbishop Thordan VII succeeded in infusing his own form with the soul of King Throdan. The ritual used to imbue the archbishop’s mortal vessel with the divine essence of his ancestor followed the same principle as that empoyed by Ysayle and her summoning of Saint Shiva - a rite previously perfected with the Heavens’ Ward and their primal incarnations as the legendary knights twelve.
Drawing upon the incalculable might of one of Nidhogg’s eyes and bolstered by a thousand years of unquestionable faith, the manifestation of King Thordan far axceeded the power of any existing primal. But driven by his monumental ambitions, the archbishop sought to absorb the infinite energies of the Warring Triad and thus ascend to true divinity. As an eternal god-king, Thordan meant to convert all to his cause, be they man or dragon, and “bless” the world with an unending age of harmony.
Receiving Thordans “blessing” means that his victims are “tempered” by him.
Once summoned, he is like other primals, able to “temper” whatever beeing he pleases. His victims develop a fanatical loyalty to the primal, creating a secure wellspring of faith. That likely happened to the Knights of the Heavens’ Ward.
Note:
Though there are 13 enemies the Singularity Reactor, only Thordan is the primal while his 12 knights are simply “blessed” by him.
According to Ser Grinnaux’s Lore entry for example, he was “blessed” by Thordan “to gain his loyalty once and for all”. So, we don’t know how long Grinnaux and/or the other members of the Heavens’ Ward were under the control of the primal. It is possible, they didn’t knew what they were doing all the time we were in Ishgard or fighting them in the singualarity reactor. If so Ser Zephirin didn’t even realized that he was going to kill the Warrior of Light.
The “blessing” would be the only real reason why men like Ser Haumeric the peaceful or like Ser Zephirin the Just who even carries his biggest character trait as his title were doing the things that happened in Heavensward.
They couldn’t escape the might of the primal Thordan, and even though they said “No” right from the beginning, the followers of Thordan VII likely would have killed the knights and lied about what happened to them, just like it happened to Zephirins predecessor. Or Thordan VII would have used them, like he already dies in Heavensward.
Remember what happened to Ser Vaindreau de Rouchemande? Thordan VII lied about his death too, saying he left Ishgard because a pilgrimage.

Can I interest you in some Bull riding to celebrate the new year? Some fresh milk for the thirst?
One of these days I will draw Grinnaux seriously, but today is not that day.

Let’s kick off the new year with some self indulgence.
Fix-it AUs are fun, so I’m going to declare that Percy can yoink the Ward knights out of the aether with the Azem stone so he can have his boyfriend back. Look at these awful boys, they are dumb and they are in love.

A bitter reminder
Sometimes the memories come back even years later, at unexpected, quiet moments, but it's fine. What happened can't hurt them anymore. Charibert has never been one to let something as trivial as trauma drag him down anyway.

SNEKSNEKSNEKSNEKSNEKSNEKSNEKSNEKSNEKSNEKSNEKSNEK
Our static had some downtime from prog the other day, so we decided to poke Neo-Exdeath a few times and I got myself a good flying dangernoodle.
This was the first time I have ever rolled 99 on anything, I was so happy. :D This is probably going to be Percy’s new main mount for the foreseeable future, I love me some good sneks.
