#fight for castle mcduck is quite dumb #pepper and blot are ok #but really nothing special #the family drama is so stupid #i cannot take it seriously #how santa stole christmas is a plot that has been done countless times in comics #but here it has that ducktales flavour added to it #because of its universe differing so kuch its able to take it a bit further in that certain direction #scrooge doesnt just dislike santa #he HATES that mf #its been build up through the entire series #and the pay off might be a little weak #but its still very good

Escape from the impossibin is the best episode but I'm too tired to elaborate further.

It's just so much fun okay. All the characters get time to shine, we get an emotional conclusion for Webby and Beakly, (sorta, Webster will find out later it wasn't really that honest but that's for future her to figure out and you could argue it makes the moment here even more devastating) it all manages to make a single location feel so grand, that multiple groups can be split up in it, that they all feel so far away, even though they are in the same place, it has all the funny one liners you could ever wish for and also videogames Scrooge did the videogame thing.

I'm sorry I'm too tired to write down coherent thoughts but impossibin is one of my favorite episodes of this entire series. I had so much fun watching it through 50 30 second clips illegally on YouTube you have no idea. I love it very dearly.

one of the few crossdressing ducks that didn’t make me break out in hives, on account of not having been forced to do it for emasculating reasons or anything, it’s just a practical solution to daisy having too many obligations since they look exactly, and i mean exactly the same

one of those obligations was manning a kissing booth for charity and donald punching a catcaller in the face escalates into guys just fucking lining up to get decked by a cute little duck

Here I decided to search all the translated stories in the document on inducks so here is the index of one of the Disney TVA 4chan leaks.

Mostly Cimino, which was immediately obvious from the description of course. Two Pezzin, which was surprising. One of them even from the golden age of Cavazzano!

All of these are new (to us) original translations never published before in English. So if any of y’all want to read some classics (some of these are like REALLY good) grab your chance! Though I expect the translation work might be a bit shoddy if it was done by them for just this little showcase. But they could have also hired actual translators to do these. Maaan now I want to know who translated these! Imagine if it was Torcivia or Gray or something. Then we would have basically official quality.

They’re all recolors (which kinda messed up my searching. I was sometimes looking for modern comics because of it) except for one which is b&w. I wonder how they got these scans specifically. I’m sure they have been printed before, but for most no one has uploaded scans of the recolors to inducks. And then there’s the b&w one which I REALLY want to know how that went. They suddenly said: ehhh give us only the inks this time? Like duh it’s probably cheaper but why did they only do it once?

For some reason there are three panels at the start where they try to show some comic tropes but then they completely give up on it. Strange that they have to show Disney how their own comics work too. Disney comics are so disconnected from the company that distributes them it’s crazy.

I’m now just realizing that this proves that Italian comics and their flow DID have an influence on DT17! Another excuse for me to like this show!

What i find so interesting is in how in a lot of these, Frank seems to have a very hard time convincing Disney to use Scrooge. He’s making up all excuses he can to show “hey, scrooge is not just a rich asshole i swear, and even if he is, were gonna do it differently”. Scrooge’s muddled whitewashed characterization might not have been a conscious choice that he wanted to make, but more a necessary evil to convince Disney. Which isnt an excuse i mean Scrooge is still like that, but its interesting to see how it came to be.

Also that presentation where they do these terrible analyses of a few Cimino comics is really funny.
