WOW π― - Thirty Years (30). Our dating and engagement was five years, and yesterday we celebrated our thirty year wedding Anniversary. Amazingly. As our Wedding π° Vows said, βhave and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in healthβ. - We have done them all at least once. Friends have come for a season and then moved on, some have died and left this earth. When saying these vows when I was twenty five year old, assumed that richer and poorer was just about finances. Now a little older ( okay a lot older) a little wiser, I realize the riches are family, our great children, close good friends. So, how does one celebrate π a 30th wedding π© anniversary? A call from our son, a 9:30 π€ AM Olympic Weightlifting ππ»ββοΈ class on the holiday labour day weekend, followed by a 10:30 π₯ CrossFit class. A gourmet breakfast π³ prepared with love π and care by our youngest daughter. An invitation from good friends to spend the rest of the day and evening with them. Celebrating, talking about our lives, our kids, politics, religion, while enjoying good wine π· great food, and awesome conversation. A text from my daughter in law that sent panic through my wife thinking π€ it was the summons to the hospital for the second grand baby πΌ, but it was just a text hoping that we had a great day. So thanks to our kids that we are so proud of, Josh / Kaitlyn, Danielle, and Samantha Thank you to our good friends Roger and Bonnie for a great afternoon and evening (42 years marrried). Thanks to Jackie and Peter - Mom and Dad for cheering for our marriage and trusting me to love π and look π after your Daughter Heather No pictures, no posting yesterday, enjoy life with a full view, not through the lens of a camera π₯ or iPhone. https://www.instagram.com/p/BnVHx9ilM6w/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=9qw01ymtj1er

Every morning I start the day with a bullet coffee. High fat, gives me energy to burn at the gym. On gym days Iβll also have a couple tablespoons of oat meal with a table spoon of hemp seed, and a teaspoon of chia. Getting some carbs to get me through the kickass workout. #fitafter55 #fitCEO

Okay, Iβm breaking one of my commitments to not be political or join in any controversial topics that are beyond my control, or that I canβt affect any change. Iβm looking for your support on this one however.

Mid week celebration enjoy a fine BC wineπ· with my sweetie @morneauheather as the day winds down. Viognier - 2016 Black Hills Winery @blackhillswine one if our favourite wineries. Life is short. For too many itβs way to short. Striving to eat clean and train hard means making sone changes. Drinking wine for example. If youβre eating clean, you need to reduce your wine consumption, so, when you drink wine, only drink good wine. I believe the same is true with whiskey π₯ Scotch whiskey So, let me raise a glass to my friends and family, to our health and prosperity. Cheers π₯ Next time this would be better if you were here with me. #shoplocal #humpday

Loving summer in #Vancouver. 40 degrees (100 for my American friends). Loving the heat, flowers, fresh produce and fruit π thatβs in season. A reminder that everything has seasons, even me. A time to work, a time to play, a time to save, a time to spend, and a time to rest. Thanks be to God for his perfect plan for us, for the seasons. Even the seasons of storms and seasons of morning, thanks be to the creator of it all. From the time of morning after Jesus death, came the season of joy. With the weather so warm, itβs nice to have my first coffee βοΈ in the yard, listening to the birds π¦
singing, the creek bustling. Some quiet π€« time in the Word, then a chapter or two of my current business, leadership, or marketing book π. Enjoy π the season, this is my summer season.
