'B team', part of a larger mercenary force sent to the coastal city-state of Sunlanding on contract to break the offensive of Könist Hydropower's military branch, the River Patrol, which seeks to take Sunlanding to consolidate the corpo-state's power over the river and surrounding wetlands.
Lohan Scott light mechs are the second most common type on Sond, and by far the most common in use by mercenaries. Different models vary wildly between each other, and B team uses one of the more stripped down models, the 60: Easier to maintain, which suits their usual mission profile of only limited external support.
Their main armaments are semi-automatic 80mm cannons - common on rebel light tanks during the revoloutionary war, they function well enough against mechs and light vehicles, although fare poorly against main tanks. The leftmost mech is armed with a 25mm smartcannon instead. Smartcannons are odd weapons - by all means the ubiquity of LPDs (Laser Point Defences) should render them useless, but in ambushes and in protracted combats where fragile laser emitters can suffer damage, they still remain a tangible threat.

On-Argent Terrestrial Service trooper, the face of the OTS military wing across all planets and stations the corporation operates. With an impressively large R&D department, fed technologies of conquered systems both human and alien, the OTS stands as one of the most technologically sophisticated human-led factions in the galaxy, and has passed on such technologies to similarly aligned factions (the most norable being the Dominion of Mankind, which the OTS maintains a close working relationship with).
This high level of technology is reflected in the equipment of even their basic infantry, with each trooper equipped with a durable armour harness paired with a heavy hybrid chemical/magnetic rifle, all supported by a powered exoskeleton. Such equipment is rather extravagant, especially considering many troopers act in the role of a glorified security guard, but it serves the purpose of advertising OTS as *the* most advanced corporation (even if that may not be true).
Despite all the technology, the OTS recently has suffered several defeats at the hands of supposedly less advanced foes, the most notable examples being the total destruction of their invasion force upon Ebr, and the disaster at the Arduant, which reportedly involved OTS forces assisting an Automated Reaver Machine, although corporate offices vehemently deny it.

Infantryman of House Anhur. House Anhur is not the power in the galaxy: Compared to the Dominion of Mankind or the Avonii Empire, it could even be considered small. Despite this, they're widely feared and military expeditions even close to their borders have been met with supremely vicious reprisals, one of the most recent being the sundering of an OTS invasion force on the resort world or Ebr.
Anhurian infantry is often used as a follow up to armoured assaults from Shamshir light tanks. With afvs breaking the enemy lines, soldiers pour in as a horde with a banner held high, chants and shouts filling the air and their veins full of powerful combat stimulants.
Their armour is simple but reasonably thick - often able to turn a crippling shot into a merely painful one giving them more time to close the distance. Their gun is a nasty little carbine - not especially accurate at range, but with a good fire-rate and a rugged design. For especially close quarters, each anhurian warrior is armed with a sword, and the troops that survive long enough to use it do so with great brutality, butchering their foes in a flurry of hacking cuts.

'Tresspasser' Gunship, workhorse of the System-11 rebels. A good deal smaller than the scorpion, but slower and less agile. These are old school rotary wings, dug out from colonial caches or sold on the cheap by spacer black marketeers. The designs predates ubiquitous pd lasers on vehicles, so the rebels had to jury rig a bulky unit on the right side, and an accompanying cooling system on the left. The modifications make handling awful, but it beats getting nailed by smart-munitions.
The 20mm cannon on the bottom is only really effective at shooting soft targets and unarmoured vehicles, which the laser can also pull double duty on. Later in the conflict, they ended up being filled with choke rounds instead to break up sightlines and blind targets in preperation for rocket strikes.
Although its not a great flyer, the excellent visibility afforded by the bubble canopy and roomy interior means that while its not a beloved machine by pilots, its certainly not hated. Mechanics love the thing, though - colonial equipment is famously rugged and easy to work on (although the laser mount is a bit more of a pain to fix).

Scorpion Gunship in old monarchist livery. The bright orange is eyecatching an impressive - effective when the Sond Royalty were the only real military on the planet. After a string of especially brutal defeats at the hands of system-11 mercenaries however, the monarchists realised they needed something more subdued.
Typical of many monarchist vehicles fielded before the revoloution, the Scorpion is visually impressive, but too big for its role and a monster when it comes to keeping it maintained. Its high points are obscene amounts of thrust and an impressive defensive profile thanks to the large PD laser in the droop-snoot and the thick armour covering the whole thing.
When they were able to get flying, scorpions were a real menace to S-11 mech columns, capable of punting devastating amounts of fire downrange while shrugging off glancing return fire. Their poor logistical profile greatly hampered their effectiveness however and simply weren't able to fly enough to be hugely relevant outside of psychological warfare.

'Lockpicker' Hard-Suit, an experimental unit mixing a number of unproven technologies together into a single unit with the aim of succeeding standard infantry. While initial trials seemed quite impressive, the frame fell apart in the field:
Immature brain-reader systems put immense mental strain on the pilots, leading to dizziness, cluster headaches and nausea, and the high-energy battery and power-transfer system released large amounts of heat which made operating near a lockpicker profoundly uncomfortable, to say nothing of the conditions inside it. Even worse, they proved too large to effectively manouvre in most buildings, exposing them to dug in infantry forces with anti-armour weapons.
Eventually the brain-reader's kinks were ironed out, and the pilot's climate control improved, but by then the lockpicker's reputation was infamous, and now it only sees use in small mercenary and pirate outfits which can't acquire anything else.

Red-Fort Sagarmatha. One of the two mech-frames used by Eyeburn's Union Garrison. While a total shift to the more modern and versatile Everest frame was planned, increased aggression from the planet's local militant faction, the solar warriors, has necessitated not only a halt to changeovers, but reactivation of Sagarmatha's placed in cold storage.
Being an older design, its slower, less agile and limited in armament more than the Red-Fort Everest. Its thicker armour plating and more generous weight tolerances make it well suited to the defensive actions the union garrison tend to find themselves in, however, and some pilots have stated they prefer the machines over Everests.

Edward South's Vagabond MBT, used against S-11 rebels and his own allies during the revolutionary war. Modern at the time, it was still fairly practical, mounting a tried and tested 120mm smoothbore gun for anti-surface use. South's model was a solo-tank conversion, featuring additional automation and a Brain Interface System, allowing it to be controlled by only a single person.
In his re-emergence as a mercenary, he's now behind the wheel of a jury-rigged civilian crawler. Such a vehicle is slow, and not nearly as well suited to receiving weapons fire, however it makes up for it with its truly eye-watering armament of a huge laser cannon, fitted with three separate hybrid cooling/power cells, each of which can only squeeze out a single shot from the weapon.
Despite all the downsides, the intimidation factor of a weapon that doesn't even require a direct hit to disable an enemy vehicle is hard to pass up, and South has become feared for his ambush tactics using it.

Edward South, previously part of the Royal Sond Army during S-11s revolution, where he gained a reputation as a skilled tank-jockey, taking down mechs and AFVs alike. Partway through the conflict, seemingly without cause, he switched sides in the middle of a routine patrol and slaughtered the rest of his platoon. He continued on his rampage and within two months had killed his entire battalion.
Wanted by the monarchy's successor: the CRM and with no guarantee of safety within S-11 land, he's re-emerged as a mercenary at the helm of a heavily modified civilian crawler mounting a truly monstrous laser cannon. His past crimes make offers slim pickings, and he's currently operating in the north pole, under the wing of one of the revolution's most militant breakaway groups
