decluttering my phone apps rn and i'm debating on whether i should delete the tachiyomi app already. devs stopped supporting it around 01/15, so it'll be officially "dead" for two months in a week or so, but idk if enough time has passed for the new alt to have taken over the full functionality/support of tachiyomi. like i've fully migrated over but idk how long to wait before it's safe to delete

ughhhhh life's been super hectic lately so i keep forgetting to post here but i've finished reading a bride's story and crossplay love: punk x otaku. both fun reads for me despite how far-off they are from each other! also the villainess's stationary shop. i'm posting this here to remind myself to talk about em in more depth in the future

i also read a bit of ranma 1/2 mostly for the gendet shenanigans, but it rlly is dated in a way that it's not very fun to read through from that angle. this is one of the few series where i think i'll def enjoy the material more with the anime, and even then it would mostly be something i put on in the bg while i do other things

hey i know it isn't immediately clear on this blog specifically because i try to curate my posts to all be 100% about the books i'm reading, but i stand with palestine. i'm saying this right now because i just noticed i got a follower that reblogs a bunch of posts about how "violent" the leftist pro-palestine movement is, that saying "death to israel" is antisemitic, and a bunch more mealy-mouthed nonsense that boiled down to "b-b-but won't someone think of the poor israelis while palestinians are being bombed and starved en masse!! 🥺"

finally got my hands on azula in the spirit temple after so long and it was........mid. in all aspects of the word. the story, the art, and any kind of acknowledgement of azula fans all just felt pretty flat. didn't really have high hopes for it considering atla's comic track record but i still wish it was better

started reading julien smith's the flinch bc i saw a good quote from the book floating around on tumblr and it's. mixed. for me.

def leans a little more to the "always on the grind, pick yourself up by your bootstraps" variety of self-help books that i don't like. it does have some good points but it also tends to make a lot of overly generalized statements that make me very skeptic, especially when i've read more fastidious self-help books that actually link to articles and studies.

i'm gonna keep reading but i'm def having to power through at this point
