you should read my friends' vns:

coquette dragoon - mecha sci-fi about girls seeking companionship in the miserable shadow of war. the girls are really normal also is the great thing about them

spare parts - slice-of-life drama about a girl who meets a family of robots and does her best to help them. but watch out! they're all really normal in this one too btw, which is awesome

both of these are masterclasses in emotive storytelling and presentation, and they're most of the reason i decided to pursue soulsov as a vn. if there is truly "an oel vn renaissance" underway, then i think these two are leading the charge.

hi gg! it’s been a while since i’ve checked your blog and i am excited to see that soulsov real in only a few months!!! you create such interesting worlds & characters and illustrate them so beautifully. i can’t wait to properly make friends with loic & ysme & co. :-)

i know you’ve mentioned some games that have influenced soulsov, but can you think of any other forms of media that inspired/influenced you? movies, tv, music, literature, fashion, photography, etc.—you have great taste and i’d love to have stuff to tide me over until chapter 1 releases.

If Loic brewed tea using certain flowers, would that result in a kind of potion? Would iced work as well as hot? Would other solutions work as well, like oil extracts? Does fake flower magic exist, like a whole homeopathy style grift?

tea imbued with magic is possible but requires intent and invocation the same as any other flower reading. you aren't going to just accidentally make sleepytime tea (extreme) by dumping dried lavender in hot water. the same principle applies for extracts and so on. temperature is probably unrelated.

it's worth mentioning that this is a very "niche" application of flower reading, and also less effective overall than loic's usual practice. it has its uses, but generally making a fayimic latte is more trouble than it's worth.

we can probably talk more about the last question later.

I do remember "Cucumber when he gets the AUX" and "adult Cucumber for example" in a sketchbook or two. I don't recall you reposting stuff from their sketchbooks here though
