They refused to be on the twilight soundtrack, one of the most popular franchises at the time but then they preformed on yo gabba gabba and re-recorded one of their songs in simlish.

Let's Cancel Netflix's Good Times

PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION

This poor excuse for a Good Times reboot is simply a show that's jam-packed with every single harmful black stereotype imaginable, under the guise of it being entertainment. Netflix should feel ashamed creating a show that cements harmful stereotypes of black people amongst people who are non-black. 

Netflix's Good Times depicts young black children as being ignorant drug dealers who wield guns. They show faceless white men wheeling away endless boxes of weapons from a black neighborhood. And they depict black people as being sex crazed, gamblers, criminals, money obsessed, and dependent upon government funding in order to survive. There is even a scene where an adult is encouraging a black child to create explicit content on Only Fans in order to survive.

Netflix's Good Times is nothing short of a minstrel show. It's racist. It's disgusting. It should be cancelled immediately. I'd go so far to say that the show is masquerading as an animated series, when in fact it's racist propaganda against black people. 

In addition, this show has absolutely nothing to do with the 1970s show Good Times. Good Times was about a hard working African American family trying to survive economic hardship in a turbulent political climate. They supported, loved, and cared for each other, which helped them overcome the many obstacles they faced in life. This new "Good Times" has none of this. It's devoid of any life lessons, let alone the wholesome vibe the original Good Times achieved.
