My boss today asked if I could mess around with some AI software to make videos for marketing purposes. I'm a bit scared he's going to be upset if I told him I won't.

Has anyone else here had a similar experience?

Fuck AI, man. Just pay for stock footage or give me a camera and I'll go record some stuff. God I hope I don't lose my job over this.

One of the most life-changing things I ever learned came from Mythbusters, where they tested and proved (with cognitive testing puzzles and reaction time tests) that lying down and resting with the intention to sleep STILL provided significant mental benefits over just staying awake, even if a person couldn’t fall asleep in the amount of time they had. 

It helps me to actually sleep to know that just lying down with my eyes closed is still doing me some good, and helps me to not freak out/beat myself up when I stay up later than intended. Any amount of rest is better than no rest!

So if you didn’t know that…now you do

I’m a sucker for Good Dad Splinter ever since I watched TMNT ‘03. That rat was gifted sapience and his immediate instinct was kindness. I love that for him.

Rise Splinter lived a rollercoaster of a life, but as a Hollywood star he remembered the names of all his stunt guys and coworkers, and as a prisoner he cared for the rat that shared his cell. His sons are very close and physically affectionate, I think that says something about how he cares? That’s just how I like to headcanon him :)

It’s interesting to explore the idea that a seemingly monstrous transformation is what pushed him to be a kinder human

I can tell you haven't read my work because I am not just slapping some sticker stamp on my writing as though it were some discount day old product. There is no cop out. I am crafting older versions of these characters who think, look, and act like adults.

So yes, I am 31 years old and I write smut. I'm an adult who writes smut of appropriately aged characters and I take no shame in that.
