Pelle's Journal

Pelle keeps a diary with him almost at all times. The content of it is a little sporadic and not quite so much a chronological account of days so much as an outlet for him to get his thoughts out of his head.Somedays he shows it more than others but his thoughts are always racing a mile a minute and sometimes it's hard to be productive or not get lost in them.

So he writes them down. It helps him. Often his diary entries don't make very much sense to others if they stumble on it or he misplaces it. He writes the thoughts as they come and tends to go down a rabbit holes and become very existential--but that's sort of the point. It's a way to sort of get lost and express himself without any judgement or people beginning to believe he might be insane.

He is, maybe just a little, but he's been told he wears his insanity well. It suits him. He still isn't sure if that is a compliment or not but he takes it for what it was.

If you were to open his diary the thoughts start in part of a page, another may began in the same one. Sometimes he can't think of how to express a thought with words for he draws it out. He's not a very good artist but it gets the job done.

In his own way, sometimes he views the things he writes as poetic, like an art that only he can understand. It's strange, a little tortured, but it's him and for him at least it brings some comfort to see his thoughts somewhere other than in his own mind.

"So I had this idea..." Lian was already blushing but what else was new. "I got my hands on some mushrooms, nuts and wild roots and a rabbit so I thought we could maybe take it all and make a variation on the Andruil stew together? Like, ah... You know. Just for dinner but also like a date? If you'd like to?" His cheeks were quite pink by then but Lian was still smiling more hopefully than embarrassedly.

Pelle offered a kind smile. How much courage did it take for Lian to ask him about this? The elf’s face was flushed, but that smile was a winner for sure. He wasn’t the type of elf who enjoyed the taste of meat, but he would eat it regardless because Lian asked him so nicely. 

He’d tolerated the taste in his adolescence to sate his Keeper’s concerns about how skinny and frail he was. What was one night for a date? 

Besides, it’d been quite some time since he’d had any food that reminded him of home. He really did miss the taste of Dalish cooking, humans may have had salt but it could never replace the stews from home made out of whatever was convenient at the time. 

“That sounds...great actually. Yes, I’d love to do that.”

Also me: got up at 6 AM to work at 7 AM and hauled around a bunch of shit and got all tuckered out at work running back and forth and moving shit around. Then came home and helped empty my room out some more for the move

Pelle’s legs are thin in appearance but don’t be fooled. His legs (like a lot of people) are one of the strongest parts of his body. Unlike his rather scrawny torso appearance, his legs have a more toned appearance. 

His legs are also however one of the shorters parts of his body. Given he is only 5′4 he isn’t very tall to begin with but he has more torso than he does leg. His knees are rounded as opposed to knobby and sticking out. 

A couple other features of his legs would be the vallaslin scribbles he did to practice and the thin blond body hair located on his calves.
