I didn't use the word hate. I judged it to be too emotionally weighted down to be useful in this communication. I dislike that you included something in my post that wasn't there. You used the contrast between hate and dislike (eye roll inducing is hard for me to unpack, but I think it implies dislike) to create a defense. That defense wasn't relevant to the point I asked you to discuss (a true definition to remove the ambiguity that comes with the category of hipster), and I experienced frustration at a failed communication. You didn't give me what I want from you, which I dislike. I want definition of hipster that incorporates the things you dislike, so I know you aren't making generalizations about a category that does not inherently include things you dislike.

I dislike your post because you do not provide a reason behind your dislike of all hipsters, just a reason behind your dislike of hypocritical people. Being hypocritical isn't inseparable from my understanding of the definition of being a hipster. Create a definition of the word hipster to expand my viewpoint. This is not a challenge, where I want to see you fail. I am looking for an exploration of culture, interrupted by a brief intermission of soul searching.
