Don't know why, but I decided to use these two DR bases to make some new outfits for some of those OC sprites I made a while back...plus one more! The full credit for Cherry's sash goes to this link; it's the coolest thing ever tbh

#cherry makes/repairs plushes specifically #but she'd be called the ultimate seamstress just cause it flows nicer #i mean she Can sew clothes too she just usually doesn't #man she looks weird without her ears LMAOOOOO #i don't entirely love the colour of peggy's overalls #plus there should really be more colour variation on her tools #but i was trying to keep the palette simple rip #and i didn't know what other colour to do for the overalls lmao #i did go v hard on her tho #i kinda forgot i was supposed to be doing rough sketches at that point and just went all out AKJSNVDFN #francine's outfit is unoriginal of course but it'd fit well in the setting #sanit's smock would ideally come down lower but i rly like the little manicure set on the belt and didn't wanna hide it lol #and then for alika i rly didn't want to change her fit too much #but i made it more clearly basketball themed #i'd like her to have some bracelets too but her sleeves would cover em so #anyway! i should have been sketching other things in the time it took to make these but i had fun!

i have a habit of saving a bunch of backups as i draw, like before merging layers and stuff like that, and the number of backups i have can depend on the drawing but god just look how hard i went with that last one SKJNVJDNFJKVD

#i think i started doing this bc one time gimp crashed or something #and when i reopened it all my layers were empty #so i wanted to save myself from that happening again #but now it's largely just so that i have backups in case i merge or delete layers and end up needing them later #which did happen a couple times with this drawing #it is usually overkill tho askjnvfjdk but hey #im a cautious lady

i kept forgetting to post this (as usual asjknvjkdvd) but i think this is such a funny wip like. yeah. sanit was actually supposed to be In that drawing. unfortunately, as you can see, drawing his hair from the front is kind of a nightmare (also his chin looks weird but that's a problem i have in general) so i just threw this together and went "i'll fix it later" so i could just start lining already. but then while i was in the process of lining, i thought...what if i just...*doesn't line him*

here is the extremely messy sketch of my birthday sakura...i was originally planning to crop it to just her face before posting because the sketch looks HORRENDOUS but i did want to show off how much sweeter her expression looks here...but then once i ended up having to cut out some of my plans for time, i decided i wanted to be able to explain my original concept. as you can perhaps tell from the blobby flower shapes i put in as placeholders, i wanted the bodice and the upper skirt to be a pattern of fabric cherry blossoms, like this dress or this one. this dress was also an inspiration, although more for the cut than anything. so i just sorta combined them...and then i ended up not having time that i expected to have, so i had to give up on the blossom idea and just put ribbon at the top instead. he end result turned out looking pretty similar to the dress i gave her last year, but in fairness that was kind of inevitable because of Course i was going to put her in pink lol. also literally completely forgot abt that note about giving her a necklace haha oops...her hand would be blocking it anyway so it’s okay.

the original version of darshan before i found those shoulder-hole shirts! both shirts are hard to draw from the side imo lol but while he would wear either one, i thought the shoulder holes were too cute to pass up and also look better in this drawing. i’d love to draw him in one from a different angle to show it off better. 

also that cheekbone line was supposed to help guide me in my shading LMAOOOO i forget if i even used it
