I had no idea people were actually aware of partners in crime au, i do not pay attention to numbers, i throw drawings into the tumblr pit and giggle and kick my feet while reading tags...

Redemption ending and the Quiet ending, i'll rant a little about it below <3

so Sif and King here got a very codependent relationship going on and it's very complicated but they... they do really love each other, they were not healthy for each other or in general but they do love each other.

I tend to focus mostly on the redemption ending because i've come to love this guy, he's so mentally unwell and a little liar but so genuinely convinced what he's doing is good and I want him to be happy :( he's savable if he lets himself be and i just want a happy ending >:(

But he's not the best person, not at all and sometimes you can't save people no matter how much you love them because they won't let you. It didn't feel right to not acknowledge the the very real reality that loving Siffrin wasn't enough to stop him, especially when he believes he's saving everyone...

in one world it wasn't enough...

but in another world it was, instead of doubling down and hurting Siffrin to get what he wants, he hesitates and it leads to great explosion on Siffrin's part as they can't watch their friends kill each other one more time...

King has to give up, because everything he wants to protect will be destroyed if he doesn't... Siffrin is what he chooses and he still doesn't think he's wrong or that he hurt anyone really but Siffrin is what was important...

it's fine tho, he gets thrown in baby jail and gets some therapy and medication finally, like damn, this guy is so unwell

idk im a big fan of "Not evil but not good for you and needs way more help then you can give and unfortunately that is on them to accept"

So King in PIC au is a year or two younger than Siffrin.... Odile is really dealing with two children echo chambering an insanity depression spiral...

okay, okay... hear me out.... traveling companions au and partners in crime au-

LISTEN, listen... it could go a couple ways, but essentially, siffrin meets odile and then the king before any of the freezing vaugarde.

I cannot imagine Odile going along with the King's plan for even a second. Maybe... Siffrin joins up with the King and he and Odile separate. Odile still joins Mirabelle's party and has to be like, "Oh yeah my traveling companion is being really dumb right now and is actively trying to kill you but please don't hurt him–"

I dunno. There's probably some good angst there.

honestly, siffrin joined the party on accident LMAO. had just caught up when he saw the party fighting the big sadness. and ended up helping because "oh god they're going to??? die???? no????????" and then just got. invited to join the party lmao- felt awful about lying to them, tried to distance themselves but like. it did not work for very long lmao. as king would say, siffrin has a gentle heart and that is both a blessing and a curse </3

(and also, I'll show you a small snippet of larger thing I wrote about siffrin & the party meeting under the cut wink.)

"And... All of you... would be fine with that?" You have to make sure. Because they can't be. They can't-

The book person narrows their eyes at you. "Well, it would be one more mouth to feed, but I have no reason object, so yes, I am fine with it." That's...

You look to the housemaiden. She's not looking you in the eye as she nods. "Y-Yeah."

"See!" the big guy chimes in. "We'd all be happy to have you!"

What are you supposed to do? 

You're meant to be their enemy, to stop them! To get the orbs before them, to make sure they fail! And- if you joined them, you would have to lie about your motives the whole time! Let them think that everyone freezing is a bad thing! And- You'd feel awful about it.

But, the imaginary King in your head says, it would be a good opportunity.

After all, you could get close to them, learn their next moves. And when they've shown you where the first orb is, betray them and steal the orb away. Easy.

(It would be easy for your friend, you're sure. After all, he's always been the one who focused more on the bigger picture of the two of you, the one who could do what needs to be done, the better liar. You're not like him, in that way. You... You don't want to lie to anyone. But for the sake of the plan...)

So, eventually, you smile and nod. "Okay!"
