What do you do when you're not regressed and how else do you cope

i do lots of things! I like to write and play video games, i have responsibilities like your average person does, so i tend to that as well. I have many useful coping skills, and i like to listen to music and journal how I feel the most, but the most effective coping mechanism for me is definitely meditation and verbally expressing how you feel

Feeling like you can’t regress?

here are some things that help me feel smoll <3

coloring: If you have a dollar store near you, buy some coloring books, if not, you can always draw

TV: watch a comfort cartoon/movie, sometimes I watch movies or shows from my childhood and they help!

decorate: set up a little space corner in your room! mines has a canopy, cartoon mat, water mat for coloring, stuffies, and my toy chest!

journaling: use agere journal prompts! they’re really fun and easy to do

hygiene: take a warm bubble bath and bring some toys in the tub if you have any

dress up: I know sometimes when I’m a bit stuck out of LS, I take a nice warm shower with lots and lots of soap and bubbles, and then I play dress up!

snack time: eat your favorite snackie! this is another thing I do, personally I like choosing things from my childhood like PB&J or Dino nuggies! Or if you live near a supermarket or dollar store (with a food isle) you can get a lunchables or kid cuisine!

let’s make a mess: get messy! this always puts me in a playful mood, you can finger paint or play with slime!

music: listen to music! I like listening to fresh beat band, or jacks big music show!

party time: Have a party with your stuffies, it could be a fun dance party, or an elegant tea party!

crafting: If you have a paci, decorate it! If not, make bracelets!!

games: play video games, or use apps on your phone, I like ones that are really interactive

If I can think of more I will definitely add more but that’s it for now!!

you don’t need a cg to be a little:

you can always take care of yourself, like I do! and there’s nothing wrong with that, it’s 100% absolutely okay, and many other people do so too! the best part about being “your own CG” Is that YOU GET TO MAKE THE RULES!!

you don’t need to be “aesthetic”:

I know that there’s a kinda “aesthetic” that some people seek when they’re regressed because some may feel influenced by age regressors on social media, (I know I have!) but what I learned is that, you should always dress how you want!!! I used to think I had to dress princess-like when I’m wittle, but honestly I wear anything I want, dinosaur shirts, video game shirts, oversized sweaters, even regular ol’ jeans. Be yourself!

you don’t need a lot of agere gear to be little:

personally, sometimes I feel like I need a lot of agere gear to regress, but in reality you don’t! Paci’s can be comfort items, and that’s okay if you have one! You don’t need tons of stuff like, diaps, coloring books, bottles, get what you think will bring you comfort! And if you do have a lot of agere gear, that’s still okay! Sometimes I feel like I need a lot of agere gear when in reality, all I need is my paci and stuffies and I’ll be okie!

at the end of it all, all that matters is what makes you feel comfortable and feeling smoll on the inside!

i saw a post recently saying that regression is 100% SFW

regression is safe, and completely non sexual, but i wanted to add something on because i know i’m not the only one. some regressors struggle with side effects from trauma, side effects that may be intrusive thoughts, not sfw thoughts, and maybe just icky feelings inside. i struggle with feelings like those and it can be very unwanted when i’m regressed because it makes me upset and feel sick.

regression is 100% non-sexual

but

sometimes regressors have intrusive thoughts that they cannot control, and that’s okay, you are still valid, still pure, and you are still a regressor, you have not done anything wrong.
