This was my entry for the thirty-sixth Dreamsnaps Challenge in Dreamlight Valley. It was an outfit challenge and the theme was Chill Summer.
So, I have done every single Dreamsnap theme, and this was - BY FAR - the WORST idea for a theme ever. I hated it. I was so frustrated by this one that I almost didn't do it at all. Then I figured, 'What the hell - even 300 moonstones is better than none.' So I threw this together.
Now, I think it bears considering - I had a hard time with this one, and I own EVERY clothing item you can get for free in the game. I can only imagine how difficult this theme was for newer players who are still working on getting a full wardrobe. While I'm normally a bit strict on how I hand out my votes, I was much more generous on this one because even with a TON of clothing options, this was a hard outfit to put together and have it look even half-way decent. So I know people with incomplete wardrobes had an even tougher time than I did. >.<
Requirements for the challenge were: 4 Elegant, 3 Wondrous, Hats & Casual (optional)
My Final Score:
Scored: 58.45
Ranked: 17653
Moonstones: 1500
Pixel Dust: 159

This was my entry for the thirty-fifth Dreamsnaps Challenge in Dreamlight Valley. It was a decor challenge and the theme was DIY Theme Park.
I actually like this photo a lot more than the one I did for the other 'Theme Park' challenge we had awhile back. The composition is better and the outfit is better. (IMHO) It's still not my favorite theme. But whatever. It got me some extra moonstones, so I'm happy, I guess. ^_^;
Requirements for the challenge were: 4 Outdoors, 6 Lavish, Quirky & Disney (optional)
My Final Score:
Scored: 62.96
Ranked: 25559
Moonstones: 1200
Pixel Dust: 163

This was my entry for the thirty-fourth Dreamsnaps Challenge in Dreamlight Valley. It was an outfit challenge and the theme was Fur, Feathers, Scales.
Have I mentioned how much I HATE the outfit challenges? Yeah... So, I was trying to go for a magician and his faithful assistant (a fabulous idea given to me by @eddarota) However, I wasn't really having much inspiration with the decor... which we all know technically shouldn't matter on an outfit challenge, but we also all know it does. *sigh* Anyway, I'm surprised I got as many moonstones as I did on this one.
Requirements for the challenge were: 3 Cute, 3 Playful, Casual & Familiar (optional)
My Final Score:
Scored: 56.59
Ranked: 48057
Moonstones: 900
Pixel Dust: 157

This was my entry for the thirty-third Dreamsnaps Challenge in Dreamlight Valley. It was a decor challenge and the theme was Villainous Lair.
Did I use a room that I've used for two other Dreamsnaps? Yes. Yes I did. XD What can I say? Why redo something from scratch, when a room I've already crafted will do the trick with just a tweak or two? Anyway, there you have it. LOL!
Requirements for the challenge were: 4 Quirky, 6 Strong, Bold & Wondrous (optional)
My Final Score:
Scored: 82.93
Ranked: 2145
Moonstones: 4000
Pixel Dust: 183

This was my entry for the thirty-second Dreamsnaps Challenge in Dreamlight Valley. It was an outfit challenge and the theme was Savannah Style.
I've actually had this outfit for Charlie since very early on in the game, so it was fun to finally get the chance to use it. ^_^ I couldn't really decide at first what to do about the background. Part of me kind of wishes I'd just gone into the Lion King realm and snapped a picture, but it's too late now. LOL! At first I was going to make a bedroom. But then I decided that would be boring and set out to see if I could make my interior look more like something outside. It wasn't super successful, but by that time I'd been working on it for so long, that it felt silly not to go ahead and use it. And really, I don't NEED the moonstones, so I decided it didn't really matter. ^_^; I also regret not going with the photo where the bird's wings were up instead of down. (You can see it at the bottom of this post.)
Requirements for the challenge were: 3 Playful; 3 Strong; Bold & the Lion King (optional)
My Final Score:
Scored: 67.34
Ranked: 8891
Moonstones: 2500
Pixel Dust: 168

This was my entry for the thirty-first Dreamsnaps Challenge in Dreamlight Valley. It was a decor challenge and the theme was Minnie Mouse's Festival of Hearts.
Pink is... not my favorite color. At all. Also - given that the theme is a 'festival of hearts' I'm more than a little miffed at the fact that we don't really have ANY objects that actually HAVE hearts. :-/ But fine - whatever. I decided for this one that Charlie's 'festival' would be a romantic evening in his (VERY pink) conservatory with his favorite someone. He's dressed nice, but casually, and is awaiting their arrival. ^_^
Requirements for the challenge were: 4 Cute; 5 Delicate; Pink & Lavish (optional)
My Final Score:
Scored: 78.91
Ranked: 4672
Moonstones: 4000
Pixel Dust: 179

This was my entry for the thirtieth Dreamsnaps Challenge in Dreamlight Valley. It was an outfit challenge and the theme was Freestyle.
This is one of the few rooms in my house that I designed just for the heck of it. When Gameloft goofed over that Premium Shop Sword in the Stone set and then gave everyone the items as compensation, I knew I HAD to do something with that bookshelf! LOL! So, I made myself a cozy little library, and I even designed an outfit for Charlie to wear while lounging there. Is this my 'favorite' outfit? No. But Dreamsnaps' voting/points algorithm requires tags, so what can you do, right? One of my fav outfits is actually one you'll NEVER see in a Dreamsnap because it has a 'Touch of Magic' item.
Anyway, you might be able to guess a couple of my other favs by looking at old Dreamsnaps. There's at least 2 of them I've used more than once because I like them so much. ;) Still, I don't hate this outfit. I think Charlie looks very classically bookish (with a small twist of fantasy.) :D
Requirements for the challenge were: 4 Calm; 3 Wondrous; Lavish & Strong (optional)
My Final Score:
Scored: 68.44
Ranked: 23057
Moonstones: 1200
Pixel Dust: 169

This was my entry for the twenty-ninth Dreamsnaps Challenge in Dreamlight Valley. It was a decor challenge and the theme was It Came From Outer Space.
So, yes - this is almost the EXACT same layout I used for the Toy Story photo a couple of weeks back. LOL! I don't use all of those extra rooms in my house for anything, so it makes sense to me to just hold onto the work I've done and maybe be able to use it again later. Because this one leaned more towards WALL•E, I decided to add in more plants, and switch out some of the Toy Story furniture for WALL•E things instead. Overall, I like how this came out. :)
Requirements for the challenge were: 6 Futuristic; 3 WALL•E; Toy Story & Simple (optional)
My Final Score:
Scored: 57.50
Ranked: 2419
Moonstones: 4000
Pixel Dust: 158

So I was in WoW last night, just doing some old Draenor content, and as I was passing from Talador into Tanaan (I think) I came across this scenery. It kind of took my breath away, so I thought I'd share. :)

This was my entry for the twenty-eighth Dreamsnaps Challenge in Dreamlight Valley. It was an outfit challenge and the theme was Sports Savvy.
So, if it's not obvious by now, I save a lot of my 'setups' from previous snaps in the hopes that I can use them again for future snaps. Beyond Dreamsnaps, I do absolutely NO decorating. It's just not how I generally like to spend my time in games. Anyway, this setup is reused from a VERY early-on theme. The idea is simple - I crafted a 'beach jogger' outfit for Charlie. I confess, I really didn't try too hard on this photo, and I'm VERY surprised I somehow managed to get 4000 moonstones for it. It just goes to show that the voting is kind of fickle, and all you can really do is hope for the best each time. :)
Requirements for the challenge were: 4 Sporty; 4 Playful; Simple & Familiar (optional)
My Final Score:
Scored: 78.86
Ranked: 823
Moonstones: 4000
Pixel Dust: 179

This was my entry for the twenty-seventh Dreamsnaps Challenge in Dreamlight Valley. It was a decor challenge and the theme was Arendelle Showcase.
I wasn't exactly thrilled with this theme. Probably comes from the fact that I've never really liked Frozen's story. But while working on this I realized that the aesthetic of the Frozen furniture/decor is so comforting and cozy! :D So, while I don't care for the stories, I had some fun designing this room. :D I honestly think my favorite thing is that the window actually looks steamed over, which fits with the room's theme perfectly!
Requirements for the challenge were: 3 Frozen; 6 Simple; Elegant & Traditional (optional)
My Final Score:
Scored: 54.35
Ranked: 29612
Moonstones: 900
Pixel Dust: 157
Addendum: I was actually kind of disappointed at the low score I got on this one. To me this photo felt unique because practically EVERY photo I cam across while voting was all icy/snowy. Which isn't to say they were bad; I voted for some really amazing photos! I'd just kind of hoped that my choice to feature a different aspect of Arendelle would make it unique enough to earn some extra votes. ^_^; Also - the trading post/sauna scene is one of the only scenes I remember, and it makes me smile. But ah, well... you can't have high votes on them all, I guess. :)

This was my entry for the twenty-sixth Dreamsnaps Challenge in Dreamlight Valley. It was an outfit challenge and the theme was Winter's Here.
I never really look forward to the outfit challenges. They just feel so limiting. And I feel like the voters punish you for not designing a scene, too, despite the fact that the background shouldn't really matter. I also don't really get why Gameloft seems to have completely stopped trying to give us new clothing with each update (beyond what we might get from leveling up the friendships for new characters.) :-/ At the very least they could start giving us recolors of things already available. I'm not a game designer, but I can't imagine it's all that hard to just recolor a few thigs every now and then.
However, what I REALLY wish they'd do is give us the option to alter the color of items already in our collection (not like Touch of Magic - which is useless for Dreamsnaps) but more like what they do for hair/eyes/etc. It would be cool if we could click on an item - like a pair of shoes - and then be able to select from 10-15 different color options. And, of course, because the colors are preset, it probably wouldn't be too hard to make the tags for those items change accordingly, so the items could still be used for Dreamsnaps when there are color requirements.
Would this be a lot of work for the developers? Possibly? But it would help to solve the 'lack of clothing' issue in a way that doesn't require them to be designing all-new clothing items all the time, AND it would cut down on the clutter of scrolling through a TON of recolored clothing. (Although a more powerful search function that would let us search by an item's name would also help with that immensely.)
Requirements for the challenge were: 3 Strong; 4 Familiar; Simple & Playful (optional)
My Final Score:
Scored: 76.03
Ranked: 12225
Moonstones: 2500
Pixel Dust: 177
