On the weekend I hit 17k on the Hangster Bodyguard AU and I haven’t written since, this is the last bit until my body decides it wants to write again (my mind hasn’t stopped coming up with dialogues🙃)

He watches as Bradley puts a gun in a holster he has around his hip. Why is he carrying a gun? Had they always been carrying around a loaded gun? Maybe Jake needs to start paying more attention to his security.

“It’s a precaution,” Bradley informs him when he sees him staring. Jake simply nods, nothing to add to that bit of information.

jake seresin was that awful teacher's pet in high school that was good at everything and everyone hated but loved, because he was so cocky but kinda had a basis for being like that, though. the kid was a starting quarterback, aced every math test seemingly without studying, wrote essays that made his english teachers go gaga over him, did theatre and stole the stage every time, won every class food drive, was prom king, etc.

he does get sent to the principal's office regularly for mouthing off, however, but seems to get away with a lot just because he's charming, although he definitely has a rivalry with at least two separate teachers who are out for his blood.

he's definitely been involved in some shenanigans as a teenager, but his parents made sure he paid for all that.
