Polls are fake little games, guys. Your favorite character not winning or not being included is disappointing, but it's not the pollrunner's fault. It's not anybody's fault. We're just like any other blog, and it's fucking unbelievable that it's taken so seriously to the point of doxxing.

The wins and losses mean nothing. It's just a game. We shouldn't have to beg for our privacy and safety.

i got dox'd!

hello everyone! so basically, long story short, the day after i posted the grelle/bugs/pete poll someone on a burner account dm'd me my home address and IP address. i reported and blocked them and then took a break for mental health reasons and waited for someone to mail a pipe bomb to my house. that didn't happen, but it could.

really not feeling the poll after that. one of you fruits can steal the idea from me if you wanna. hosting a poll where a mentally unwell freak tries to dox me for glee representation or something of the sort...is not my idea of fun!!

By general tags I meant something broad, like "tournament poll", which yes would work perfectly for this, and using it on poll posts only should be fine

As for what shows up when you block a tag and someone reblogs it and puts it on your dash, if OP has tagged it with the blocked tag then it'll be hidden

"middle sibling competition" "most unhinged knife weilding bisexual with abandonment issues competition" "biggest left tit competition" ridiculous, all of you. pure cowardice. if your characters are so good they should win against all. they should climb the ever increasing mountain of corpses free of constraints. so, i give you:

no limits. no categories. simply characters fighting to the fucking death in one single glorious showdown, the ULTIMATE battle, as they should have been all along. if your characters are truely strong they will prevail. they will fight as long as they need to. or do you doubt them?

Tumblr Pirate Battle!

I have no idea what I'm doing.

This might flop and I might give up on it in a week, but for now I say let's roll with it, lmao

Submit here your favourite pirates to be matched against each other on tumblr polls:

RULES:

The character must be a pirate (duh). They have to have a history of pillaging, plundering, etc etc. No internet pirates.

The pirate must be either fictional or fictionalized from real life. For example, if you submit Edward Teach (aka Blackbeard) you also have to specify which media he's from (e.g. Black Sails, Our Flag Means Death, etc.). Real-life pirates won't be accepted if the media isn't specified.

They can be from any piece of media. Films, TV shows, video games, manga/anime, books, comics, theater plays (as long as I can find photos of the plays online), you name it.

Same titular pirates from different media count as different characters. For example, John Silver from Treasure Island (book), Muppet Treasure Island, Treasure Planet and Black Sails all count as different submissions.

Captain Hook from any Disney film or TV show will count as the same character. Hook from Once Upon a Time counts as a different submission, because he's a different iteration of the character even though Disney owns the title.

Submit characters that a simple image search will offer at least one picture for. Don't make it too niche.

Submit as many pirates as you want, just make sure you submit each pirate only once, and only one pirate per submission :)
