One of my greatest inspirations as a writer is the late great LA Times food reviewer Jonathan Gold. I legitimately think he should be considered one of the best writers of the last 100 years. Look at this.

Poetry. Non-fiction par excellence. This is a man who not only understood the visceral, the sensory, the sublime, but he could put it into words.

Does Ringo's Riddles have it's own versions of Magenta, the spice family, the big red chair, or the mailbox? Is the tune the same? :0 Edd singing the "We just got a letter" song would be really cute...

Oh, the AU does have its own Magenta! She's a white tabby cat named Clover and is actually owned by Tord! The rest? We aren't really sure, but we're still figuring it out (yeah the au is in the beta stage, but mostly doesn't have lore, just for fun :D) But if they do exist, I'm thinking they would be objects that got alive by accident because of Bing in this au and found a home near Edd's house or smth lol And YESSSS Edd singing that song would be cute!!! Maybe gets mail from Sniwi or Diwi and just sings it out of excitement! That'd be adorable :DDD

Hey Tord!! What inspired you to become a veterinarian?

"Well, back in Norway, my family actually owns a farm near the outskirts of town! I used to take care of the farm animals there with my siblings, so when I was about 18, I realized that my dream is to become a veterinarian with how much I love animals. So I saved up a lot of money from my job as a handyman and flew to another country to study in a good veterinary school — and this is where I am now in London!"

well, my friend, it's your lucky day! your oc is obviously in! :D

blaze

as mentioned above, she starts as an anxious person, but eventually came out of her shell to become who she is today. i think she's a fierce lady with a burning passion and that fits her name perfectly!

i imagined her to be the type to get messy in her job — i mean, art is chaotic. blaze enjoys splashing some colors and drawing intricate designs despite her messy tendencies. in the end, all her work is unique and outstanding in contrast to the bland colors that buildings usually have and that's what blaze wants it to become.

blaze loves the food that topi bakes. the menu always has something new every week and she will come on over to the bakery to devour her tasty creations once she caught wind of it. topi is glad that another person likes what she makes :D

blaze would occasionally bring felix to the vet for a monthly check-up, while her cat is being checked on by tord, she would strike up a conversation with jon who often takes up the receptionist desk simply to occupy her time. and after that, blaze will take felix to the park that's usually full to the brim of people with their pets and play with him.

as for relationship-wise, topi is her first friend when she moved into the neighborhood. she was the one who gave her welcome gift with a big smile, and ever since then, they became good buddies. blaze met skits through topi. though awkward at first, they evolved to be friends after a few talks.

blaze is generally friendly with her neighbors, but she was a bit timid and needed time to get to know them better. paul and pat are the people that she chats with daily while blaze knows christi because she helped with the things listed in the info, often having a genuine discussion about their interests. either way, it's a slow start for her.

as for matt? well, we can't be too sure. it's practically a standstill.

So yesterday I came across a quaint AU blog called @ringos-riddles as a big fan of both Eddsworld and Blues Clues, it's a match made in heaven. And when I found out they allowed OC's to be inserted, you bet your bottom dollar I'd hop on the train.

So here's Ringo's Riddles AU Blaze!

She starts off as a social anxious recluse (though she still retains OG Blaze's impatience and short-temperedness, though this Blaze tries her best to keep it under wraps.). She unfortunately has pretty low self esteem as she was bullied in school. Overtime she does come out of her shell as the outgoing, passionate, and headstrong person she truly is. Blaze also moved into the neighborhood from Phoenix, AZ, USA.

She is a painter and artist (similar to Beck), if you need a sign or building painted or perhaps a special drawing commissioned, she's your girl! (Her outfit is even based on the Art Hoe aesthetic).

She's a major foodie, she's made it a part of her schedule where she goes to Topi's bakery once or twice a week for something to eat.

She also has a black cat named Felix (male), it was through Felix that she met the boys, she found him playing with Ringo while they were outside.

In terms of relationships, though they were a little slow to build at the start. She became friends with Topi after some while (see above), Blaze is also friendly with Patryk (and by extension, Paul) and Christi since she helped with painting and designing various things for the coffee shop and treehouse (and library) respectively. She also developed a crush on Matt, though whether those feelings are reciprocated or not is unconfirmed.
