Okay FINE I’ll dump the lore.

The Little Circus is an offshoot of their previous circus which mysteriously burnt down. Sharppaw and Dancingpaw, the children of the previous ringmaster, are given leadership positions as the position is passed to kin. This is true even though Sleekspin has more experience and the twins are technically still in training. Sharppaw has his knife throwing act but acts as an announcer and stand in ringmaster for the other acts, while Dancingpaw is often seen as the assistant to performances so she can keep an eye on everyone and make sure everything goes smoothly. One can tell the skill level and experience in their act with the amount, type, and material of their piercings. Number of piercings represent their number of acts they can perform, with the degree of experience represented in the size of the piercings; how well-recognized they are is determined by the piercing’s metal, with bronze being low recognized and gold being widely recognized for example. 

Sleekspin is an insanely gifted young performer and bitter that he still has to abide by the rules of the circus that tried to snuff out his talents. He is rather harsh to the twins in place of their father and often leaves them to their own devices, much closer to the pompous Snappaw who holds a similar opinion of their old home. They weren’t meant to be here. It isn’t fair. It isn’t fair.

Sharppaw is a worrisome yet outwardly confident tom with a love of blades and performance. He feels he isn’t ready for the position of Ringmaster so insists on holding back his and his sister’s official graduation from trainees to performers. Sharppaw comes off as very showy, namely his glittery outfit and his dramatic eyepatch that covers a perfectly working eye. The warmer, deeper blues in Sharppaw’s outfit mirror Dancingpaw’s eye color and the cooler, lighter blues in Dancingpaw’s outfit mirror Sharppaw’s eye color. He can still see them, hear them. They won’t stop.

Dancingpaw is truly a cunning and spiteful beast, taking after her father, but appears honey-sweet to everyone she meets. Graceful and poised she resigns herself to the dangerous role of an assistant; even if she loathes her fellow performers she can at least trust them to do their job correctly.. Most of the time. Dancingpaw finds it extremely unfair that her dimwit brother inherently gains the ringmaster position even if she is much more suited to the job. She’ll have to do something about it. 

Snappaw is a rambunctious and troublemaking young molly, snarky and arrogant in her talents. She was drawn to the bullwhip by her previous mentor which specialized in that skill, and found she got the hang of it quickly. When she isn’t practicing she is tormenting the twins or gossiping with Sleekspin. Snappaw convinced Sleekspin to let her perform despite her young age, and the older tom has a lot of sway over Sharppaw in particular so it wasn’t a difficult task. They don’t know how dangerous she is.

It was very fun to assign everyone an act and come up with silly outfits! I've already come up with rudimentary lore for character dynamics and appearances (someone help me)

I thought I would give everyone an update/heads up that I'm going on a (hopefully) short hiatus due to classwork, mental health, and mild art block. No need to worry about me, I'll still be around!

I primarily don't want to work on moon updates until I'm back 100%, so now is a perfect time for asks of any kind, as well as doodle requests either for LittleClan or another Clangen page :)

LittleClan Spoilers DO NOT PUBLISH

Pythonback begins to be bullied by the apprentices over his name. They tell him nothing is special about his back so his suffix is stupid; he renames himself Pythonpatch to escape their torment.

Bluepaw and Lilacpaw become warriors and name themselves Blueback and Lilacback respectively. Pythonpatch is confused and tells the two their backs aren't special either, and the two berate Pythonpatch about how their backs are incredibly special and deserve to be their namesake. Pythonpatch cries himself to sleep.

Lilacback finds a fox cub and adopts it as her child, naming it Pythonback. Pythonback bites Pythonpatch upon meeting him and Pythonpatch immediately dies.

Buzzardpaw seizes the power vacuum and declares herself Buzzardstar. Blueback thinks he deserves to be leader instead and attacks Buzzardstar, and in their scuffle fall off a cliff and both die.

Lilacback takes Pythonback and decides to go back to LeapClan territory. She is greeted by the whole of LeapClan, who are actually all alive, and they are so moved by her story they pronounce her the true leader of LeapClan, with Pythonback acting as her deputy.

LeapClan cats are a determined, loyal, and scrappy bunch. Often riddled with scars from their neighbors and mortal enemies, DiveClan, LeapClan felines focus much of their efforts to battle and strategy. Their small numbers are an attribute to how far they'll go for their clan, finding that dying in battle is of the utmost highest honor, and many of their numbers have fallen under those circumstances. Even if LeapClan's values seem barbaric, they pride themselves on their community and kinship with each other. Their scars show their love for each other and for their home. What a shame it couldn't save them.
