"romantic" self shipping while being a flavour of aro is both fun and a bit isolating... it's fun esp if your f/o is a flavour of aro too because your relationship is uniquely shaped by being aro4aro... but also a bit isolating bc often you see posts that you think fit really good but are just a bit off bc of how you experience being aro... and sometimes you don't think the "romantic" label fits completely so it feels more like "romantic(?)" but it's the "best" label that people can get so you use it anyway but you hope that other people understand that your relationship isn't just like conventional amatonormative relationships

whoaw.,.. being an aro selfshipper who still ships romantically is SO WEIRD!!!!! like a lot of the posts i see circulating around are geared towards like..ppl who are in super loveydovey romantic relationships with their f/os (which is SO VALID like dont get me wrong!!! i do Not mean this in a derogatory way!!)

however i think we need more posts abt f/os who are jsut kinda...there. yknow. f/os who we call our romantic or queerplatonic partners and we just chill and vibe and maybe also commit a crime or two. like NO kisses NO cuddles.
