↳ Nobody really knows who Heaths father is but there’s also plenty of speculations, growing up his mother was very unpredictable and went from pledging that she now will be a devoted mother to just disappearing for months again. It was quite obvious that she was a struggling addict, couldn’t hold down and job and ended up working as a prostitute that more often that not ended up on the streets of Denver. So, he mostly grew up with his grandpa, that lived two trailers away, who in his prime was an excellent skier and therefor also got Heath into the snow sports. Heath had a twin-brother, Harper, who seemingly out of nowhere committed suicide when they were thirteen years old. Heath was the one who found hi when he returned after school since Harper had stayed home because “he wasn’t feeling well”. All this came as a shock, even to Heath that was the closest to him – since Harper always seemed so happy. Thanks to this Heath started to lose touch with reality and has ever since been described as “aloof” and has a tendency of speaking to himself and even referring to himself as Harper.
