COSRX Advanced Snail Peptide Eye Cream
When I bought this eye cream, I was looking for an affordable product that provided moisture without being too heavy as I'm prone to developing milia around my eyes. This eye cream was lightweight and it did absorb quickly which was great, but I don't feel like it moisturized very well. My skin would feel dry again an hour later and I would have to reapply the product. Sometimes, I would try to layer the product multiple times but it would still only provide temporary relief.
I was looking forward to this product because it had such great reviews online, but it did next to nothing for me. It didn't sting my eyes despite the dryness which was great, but I didn't feel the need to repurchase it after it ran out bc of how little moisture it provided me. In fact, I ended up buying a completely different eye cream before I even finished the bottle.

Shiseido Clear Sunscreen Stick SPF 50
To preface, my skin type is normal. I bought this product when it was on sale bc I had heard great things about this one and sunscreen sticks were trending at the time. I wanted something that would make reapplying sunscreen throughout the day easy bc I work in a building that has large windows. Its slim size made it convenient to carry around and bc it was a stick form, I wouldn't have to worry about touching my face during applications.
To me, this product is greasy. It doesn't settle into skin well and it definitely doesn't layer. I thought this would be good for reapplications throughout the day, but I can feel it on my skin by the second application, and a third application makes me feel so oily. It feels like I have a layer of grease on my skin and it transfers to my hands if I touch my face. Even a couple hours after application, I can still feel it on my skin, and by the end of the day, I can't wait to wash it off. Maybe you need to use powder to set it, but tbh if you're reapplying it several times throughout the day like I think most people buy this to do, then I don't think it'd feel that great. I feel like you'd have to wipe it off, then reapply to make it work which kinda defeats the purpose in my opinion.
This all happens to me even if I do a one-swipe layer across my face, so when I think about how you're technically supposed to apply multiple layers of sunsticks to get full coverage, I can only imagine how it would feel.
I wouldn't buy this product again, and I haven't really touched it since the first few times I've used it bc I really can't stand the greasy feeling. Maybe I'll try using this on the back of my hands instead.

Dior Lip Oil Review
I had curiosities about the Dior lip oil for a long time because everyone online was hyping it up as such a good product, but I never had a particularly strong incentive to buy it, especially since it's $40. However, during the holiday season, I was buying one of the gift sets and wanted to meet some "free gift" purchase requirements (i am a victim) so I decided to purchase it.
It was not that great tbh. I mean it is moisturizing, but it's also very thick and sticky. When the wind would blow my hair around, it would get caught in the lip oil. It does last on the lips for a very long time though which is a plus, probably because of how thick the product is. Even when I try to apply a thin layer on my lips, it's still sticky. Like if I press my lips together I can feel the resistance when pulling them apart.
My preferred way to wear it is to layer it on top of a lip stain for some added moisture and gloss. It does add a little color on top of the stain too not that I'm using it for that.
Overall, it's an okay product. Not something that I would repurchase or ever recommend to a friend. In fact, when I first tried it, I let all my friends try it too bc I just couldn't believe the texture and wanted their opinions on it too. They also agreed that it was too sticky for their preferences. I did manage to de-influence someone out of buying it bc she was curious about it too.
It's not worth $40 in my opinion either. One of my friends bought the elf lip oil and we all agreed it had a better texture and it's only $6 in comparison.

hi
I decided to make this informal review page about products I've bought bc I was writing reviews for products on yesstyle and realized you only have a year to write reviews about products you've purchased, which makes sense but I still remember my opinions on products I've purchased in the past so I'd like to have somewhere to put those thoughts. it also only lets you review products that you've purchased through them, which also makes sense, but I've bought many beauty products that are sold there from other places and don't have anywhere to write reviews for them.
Most of the reviews are going to be about Japanese and Korean products bc that is what I prefer to buy. It is also probably going to be more skincare-focused focused bc I don't wear makeup regularly and when I do, it's mascara and some lip product. I do buy other products like clothes and stationary off of yesstyle, but idk if I'll review those yet bc I feel like a clothes review would be best if I included pictures and I want to keep this blog anonymous. Maybe, if I figure out camera angles and manage to take half-decent photos I'll branch into other categories.
