Hi hello yes please talk about plant dad Donnie I am ALL ears!!

Heyo!! Thanks for the ask!! The hcs I have for botanist/plant enthusiast donnie have been bouncing around in my brain like ping-pong balls but here are a few I could turn into coherent sentences:

• He takes it VERY seriously when he notices that one of his plants starts developing a yellow leaf and will do everything in his power to figure out what's wrong and how to prevent it in the future

• If one of his plants ends up dying, it takes him a good 9-10 business days to recover (might even buy a duplicate and name it *plant name* junior)

• Has a journal with a list all of his plants along with their own personalized watering, fertilizer, humidifier and dusting schedules (probably also includes a few notes tracking the growth of his plants and admiring them in some way)

• I think that in Leo's usual fashion, would probably tease him about his hobby but then proceed to turn on his grow lights and water them if donnie's not around to do it himself

• He would give his brothers lil cuttings from the plants that remind him of them whether it's the color, meaning behind the plant itself, or even just the vibes it gives off (I can also imagine him into nursery thinking: "this one's red, raph's red, it would be criminal of me not to buy it")

• has herb and spice gardens for mikey to use for his cooking 

• Specifically invests in plants with purple or purple or purple-adjacent leaves (eg: purple heart, purple shamrock, Tradescantia zebrina, philodendron royal queen, etc etc)

• mass produces propagation cuttings to sell (usually overpriced this is donnie we're talking about after all)

• Once his collection gets large enough, he'd start working on making an automatic watering system (but still enjoys the monotony of watering them one by one when he has the time to)
