i would like to see a calver angst fic...

**implied major chara death

Cale wakes up, his legs strewn over the armrest of the sofa in Alver's office and a crick in his neck. Sleeping on the couch was never the best. The papers he had held onto his chest in his sleep are creased, he must have had it in a death grip in his sleep, somehow managing to keep it rather than dropping them all over the carpeted floor. His eyes are sticky with sleep and he's staring blankly at the wide block of sunlight painting the wall across from him, trying to blink himself into awareness.

He must've passed out on the crown prince's couch again. It wasn't out of the norm when they did paperwork together.

(For someone who swears he'd become a slacker, Cale sure works a lot, plopping down across from his sworn brother to join him as time creeps on into the early hours of the morning. They'd each have their own sets of papers in their hands, working in a comfortable silence that's only broken by the flipping of pages or the scratching of a nib).

Cale looks over towards Alver's desk, wincing as his neck protested at the movement. The sunlight has always been awfully bright around lunch time, bleeding in through the curtains to illuminate the crown of gold on Alver's head. His desk sat right in the center of the window and usually, it was Alver that saved him from the light, sitting right in the way to block it so he could turn over to sleep in longer.

A part of him expects to see the man's stupidly perfect smile, his lips curled with something just on the cusp of breaking into something more free. He'd say something dumb about waiting an eternity for Cale to finally wake up, or maybe bemoan how cruel of a sworn brother he was for giving him so much work after running around and causing trouble.

But there is no flipping of papers and there is no scribbles and sighs. There is no Alver sitting in that leather chair, grumbling about how unbelievably greedy the nobles could be under his breath.

But he isn't there and he won't be coming back.

(Cale's never thought he'd miss that uncomfortably pleasant smile or the man's glib tongue remarks like he did now).

How do you think Cale manages stress?

Like I feel as though it should get to him at some point. Through a migraine or fatigue or even something like acne IDK

He needs better coping mechanisms.

uuuooohghhh I like to think that the main thing that happens to him would be severe migraines!! and if it gets really bad, then they would be debilitating, but then !! Cale getting cared for by his family !! Cale had always known how attentive the children were, picking up on what types of sweets he preferred the most, leaving them for him out of the bunch on the platter. It was always the small things that they picked out the easiest, preening with pride when Cale would thank them in return.

If anything, Cale didn't think he had any issues with overworking, after all, the one thing he wanted the most in life was to slack off. Every time he would wave off their comments with an "I'm fine," he would always receive the most deadpan stare. With the pulsing in his head came a deafening ringing in his ears, making paying attention while others speak to him hard. He hadn't thought that it was obvious, but without fail, the children would take notice. The book or papers would be plucked from his hands and he would be pulled up from his seat to be ushered back to bed. Hong runs off to refill the pitcher of water for him and Raon darts off to the window to drag the curtains shut. It's Ohn who glares at him until he climbs into the sheets, and most of the time, Cale won't fight it because maybe it is time to take a break. A nap does sound good right now.

Hong would rush back in with a pitcher in his hands, the water inside of it sloshing from side to side due to his rushing and then a glass will be pushed into Cale's hands. The boy would dump a few random snacks onto the bedside table, usually fruits or some sort of easy to eat ingredient that Vicross would surely ask about later on. An emergency snack, he'd tell Cale before clambering up onto the bed to join him.

These forced breaks always ended with the three of them joining him for a nap if it's during the day, piling onto him to keep him from getting up. Cale had learned not to fight it, letting the tension to slip from his shoulders as his thoughts slowly slipped away.

When Cale stays up way into the night, they would glare at him with sleepy eyes, their hair disheveled from having been asleep. Their dragging is more insistent at night, huffing and puffing if he doesn't follow.

On days that he really can't seem to catch a break, the molran's bring him refreshments to help him keep going. The old man always seemed to be suppressing the urge to shake his head and sigh at Cale, but he silently pours a cup of chamomile tea. It's brewed to help the young master relax, but if Cale starts yawning after a while....

The snacks that Vicross prepares for him are lighter and healthier, opting for more fruits than pastries and sweets. They'd be paired with mixed nuts that would help keep Cale awake if he gets tired while working.

these are just a few lil brain thoughts... but uooogghh soft ... cale always getting ushered to bed and fed. I just think that like,,, with the kids enforcing nap times,, its nice and soft and healthier... because if they don't then maybe Cale would keep going until its all done. Like a finish everything now so i can slack off later type vibe!!! He would probably work himself sick if left alone,,, the "this is nothing" type mindset maybe??

hm.. there's only a few that are done... so i guess i'll say what i think will have the angstiest once i'm done?? I think it might be between mr forgettable, witcher's calamity, or comfort of death???

uhm.... i feel like a lot of mine don't really have happy endings??? hhh

8. do you get hate on fics?

no ! i'm really happy with that! i feel like the fandom is really nice tho heh

i don't write crossovers hhh mostly because i would worry about trying to keep even more charas in character ;; brain too rotten w lcf

hmmm officially on ao3, no, but i would consider a lot of my fics cowritten w my friends because would end up brainrotting together so hard that it would end up mostly written!! so if i end up writing it, i usually end up dedicating it to them or smth

hmmm,,, im not too picky??? i usually like eating them all

15. whats a wip you want to finish but doubt you will?

hmm... im a bit worried about finishing comfort of death ?? i want to finish them all!! but for comfort of death i'm a bit worried because i know how i want it to end but the in between hhhh uughgggh having to connect it ughghghg we're still far out!!

16. what are your writing strengths?

my friend said that my writing felt nostalgic and like heheh that makes me feel proud!! smth abt how i desc scenes, so i think that's a thing i'm really proud of !!

17. writing weaknesses?

i think the fact that i don't like rereading is a big weakness because i'll read it again after a long ass time and then see so many errors!! I think i have a lot of run on sentences, too!!

18. thoughts on writing dialogue in another language? i don't think i'm too confident on writing dialogue in another language!! I would probably just put it in italics and say its being done hhh or if i do, then i'd want it checked by someone who speaks it

19. first fandom you wrote for?

20. fav fic you've ever written?

mmmm that's hard... but i think i'm really attached to like, teeny tiny trouble or maybe witcher's calamity? theres a few hidden ones that i'm actually really attached to !! i hope to have more time to write soon!!

You guys don't understand how obsessed I am with this fic. This is such an amazing piece of writing, I think about it nonstop!!!

Basically, ogcale is trained to seduce and his target is the crown prince !!! That's all I'll say about the plot, but my dudes... the descriptions and details put into this work??? INSANE!!
