“When we talk about college campuses, I want everybody to know there are no protests on college campuses in Gaza. You know why? Because every one of the 12 universities in Gaza has been bombed and destroyed.” - Bernie Sanders, 5/8/2024
Kendrick actually saw a person die outside his Compton apartment when he was just five years old where in his mind, he realized that this type of violence is what he's going to have to get used to while growing up. He has experienced homelessness. He lived on welfare and foodstamps. Saw his friends die, even held one of his dying friends in his arms gently like he was holding a baby. Battled with avoiding the gang lifestyle that kept tempting him. Made a song titled Chapter Six with the lyric "Pray that we make it to 21" because of all the death he's experienced.
To see Drake think it's fun and cute and easy money, pretending to be from the hood/about that life/be someone he's not and never do a damn thing for the Black American community he bites from, THAT IS ONE OF THE REASONS WHY KENDRICK HATES THAT MAN!
i watched one (1) video on how to draw hands that changed my life forever. like. i can suddenly draw hands again
these were all drawn without reference btw. i can just. Understand Hands now (for the most part, im sure theres definitely inaccuracies). im a little baffled
"Just like we talked about in this booth, back in middle school."
"It was that booth."
"Are you sure it was that one?"
"Yep. That booth."
I love that Min just lies in this scene because he's upset about Ryan leaving.
The pictures are at slightly different angles, so I overlapped the window and recorded a transition of one image to another, but- it's almost exactly the same. There's no way what Min is saying is true.
Like, the first watch through I thought it was supposed to tell us something about Ryan. That he isn't focused, that he doesn't remember things as well, that he didn't care for detail.
But it's telling us about Min. He holds grudges! He's petty! He wants to be right and won't admit it when he's wrong!
infinity train is such a funny show to use to talk about censorship. because on the one hand this teenager kills 2 cops fairly graphically (they are made of metal but they kind of goop all over the place) and is shown to be 100% in the right, but on the other hand when their transgender allegory story ends, they stay cis and use she/her pronouns without any commentary. ohhhhhkay.
taylor was lovebombed and manipulated at a very vulnerable moment in her life by a really sleazy dude who left her very hurt in the end and that sucks for her. i sincerely feel sorry for her.
but also, when all was said and done, she still chose to double down a year later and refer to her fans as ‘judgmental creeps’ and their rightful offense taken at choosing to associate with a man who punched down at MANY marginalized groups, often ones those fans belonged to, as ‘bitching and moaning’, and that’s a really weird choice. which tells me that between now and then, she still hasn’t actually taken a step back and assessed why people were upset with her, and instead chooses to react in bad faith toward her very loyal, and rightfully hurt, fans.
and this is coming from someone who likes the song.. as long as i don’t think about it
